  1. I personally like the French Refit...

     

    -2.5% reload, AND +1% to top speed. 

     

    Doesn't sound like much but +1% on top speed on a Trinc is a good .13kn on top of its top speed before mods. 

     

    You run Frigate Master, Copper plating, French Refit, Cedar build,  and studding or Stay sails and that ship will flat out fly!

    waaaaaay better british refit, with this current raking meta turn speed>top speed and if u want to outrun somothing just remember that stern chaser are op so u can also escape from endymion and renomee easily.

     

    PS: trinco are bad in this meta, no turn speed , no stern cannons, e heavy crew loss on broadside

     

    PS2:british refit: +5% accuracy +5% reload speed +1%turn speed

  2. Hi, based on current testing of hostility, it has turned into a low level AI gind fest. While there is some PvP to be found, joining missions and intercepting players, PvP is hard to find. I also hope this might help make things interesting for current and new players.

     

    My suggestion is to create a Point/Swords at sea for each Region where players have to sail to in order to create a Lobby based PvP fight, based on Rank/BR. If one side has more BR than other, AI ships make up the difference. How many times have we all been sailing around and we know there are players who want a fight, but we cant find each other or the scales are tipped in favour of one side so the fight does not happen. Maybe restrict each fight to 10vs10? There would also still be a need for OW, as you have to sail there, and there might be epic battles outside trying to get in. People can then get quicker action, and the ability to stay in that region to create/defend hostility, rather than having to sail back for 30+ mins for the night to tuck the ship away. If you want to change regions, you do have to sail back to port. If there are no defenders or attackers, then the BR is matched up with AI as currently.

     

    People will still need to use OW, trade,craft, but hopefully it will create more FUN for players.

    I'd be curious to know what would be the best time for you to play the event, and I remind you that there is a small battle every 15 minutes and you can participate with the fifth rank or lower ships

     

    of course you can comment below with your preferred time if you do not find above (es: 20:30 or 20:45 server time seems pretty good for EU)

     

    we can organize 1 or more battles depending on pool votes, so u can vote all the choices u want

  4. ignore the descriptions in data files as they can be working together with other convoluted logics system you don't see.

    so u think the reload bonus is working atm? because last time i checked it with stopwatch it was not working at all

  5. as title say , i want to report that every 3 master perk( frigate , lineship, light ship) are bugged, they dont give any bonus in reload to any ship. checked and verified several time.

    speed bonus is ok, but reload bonus is not working.

     

    I took a look at Public API and i found this: (this is an example for the lineship one, but other 2 perk have the same bug)

    as u can read the ship bonus speed is absolute: so 0,5 knt and it is good and working

    BUT

    the reload bonus should be percentage -2.5% instead of absolute. i think the problem is here , u should move from absolute to percentage this 0.025.

    i'm right?

     

    btw, im not a dev so this is just a guess

  6. this beautiful new ship in the game has a big problem: its decks are inverted.

    so in the battle u got 24 pd on the top deck and 12pd on bottom, this is bad because top deck has only 9 guns, bottom one got 13 guns.

    while in port, when u buy guns, the cannon seems to be in the right position(left slot=lower deck) in the battle they are inverted, pls fix this

     

     

     

    PS: plus this cannons 24 pd long are bugged too , cause they are too short compared to medium one ( seems 24pd medium = 24pd long)

  7. Port battles are coming. And they were done in September but because of other content they were not given out - because other things were broken, no content can be given out if something else is broken. The build is like a soup. You cannot take salt out if you want to give carrots to try, if you take it out something else might start tasting weird. Separating everything into blocks is possible but extremely expensive.  

     

    We know that general community is probably not ready for live development with some parts of the game broken.

    the problem is with the recharge bonus, and also with the exact knots of bonus :)

  8. i killed u twice today, up in america, im in the pirate BIA Clan , we respect solo players and we dont gank newbs, we always fight outgunned and outnumbered but we still can win this battles thx to our high experience captains.

    in the last battle we fight something like 3 v 12 east of ur capital (no near a free town) , but we still managed to kill half of u americans and forced to flee the other half;

    u was in a tiny rattlesnake, both time u died from the cannons of my Bellona (T6 vs T3 SHIPS), so dont complain.

    an advice: look better at ur allies before join them, but look even better at ur enemies before fight them!

     

    PS: other capitals got free town next to them, just look at our Mortimer Town, la tortue is so closer than sunbury, with the upcoming patch also Port Royale will get a near free town. this towns are extremely important for PvP and also if u cant see its value now, u will in the future as u are on PvP server ;)

  9. random at the current stage of game is useless, that would be more usefull if it got a firing speed bonus, id like to have a command to fire all cannons at the same time or at least very poor difference between cannons. i mean the captain say FIRE! and all men light up the cannons almost at the same time... seems realistic no?

    a random broadside fire is cool, but useless if it last as the front fire or back fire one.

    i suggest a 2x speed bonus in broadside lenght: so if a front fire mode broadside in a 3rd rate take 7 second, with random fire mode it will take 3,5 sec and so on;

    what do u think about this?

  10. do u guys have noticed that perks like frigate master, lineships master and pirate that should give 0,5 Kn and 1 Kn, instead they give only 0,3Kn and 0,7Kn in battle?

    i ve noticed that with all my ships and several type of wood and features, so if a frigate has 12,00 Kn in the dock screen with all equipped , in battle with frigate master it goes up to 12,3 also at the best wind possible for it, same for pirate perk.

    can u confirm this?

  11. there are also other bad things in sails management... just go from full sails to stop and again to full ... you'll see that some sails will be closed and reopened in an unnatural way. i mean that's not go from 100% to 80 then 60 ecc up to 0% of ur sailing power... sails have different position in different modality:

    half sails (80%) have some upper sails closed compared to full sails, instead battle sails (40%) have the same sails opened.. it's a bit confusing...

    so in a combat situation where u want to lower ur speed from 100 to 0 u will see sails opening and closing nosense.

  12. Some of these comments seem to want rewards for nothing. No gain should come with out risk. You want to get coin for the damage you do, then expect risk of loss. Take out all rewards if you want to keep the dura if you sink.

     

    I agree, if you remove loss of dur, you also need to remove rewards for damage.

    why not put reward for dmg dealt and repair fee for dmg received??? just like in world of warship(only an example)... i mean id like to make some gorgeus battle in my santisima just click on a button while im docked in mortimer town and now it is not possible cause of the loss of the dura... guys if i have not enough time to sail everywhere and do some OW PvP i should have the possibility to have fun in 20-30 min in small battle or large battle ( imho they can also merge this 2 mods ;)

    while I'm at it right now, this is just an not necessary suggestion:

     

    I would like to ask you one thing: "Permanent Upgrade" are permanent right?

     

    So, if we take that as given, shoudn't any ship that you "capture" by another player still have the permanent upgrades installed?

     

    Shoudnt this be true espacally by first rate ships? Where you only have one durability?

     

    E.g: if a ship gets boarded, the crew shoud be able to "throw away" the normal upgrades sothat the enemy can not achieve them. But permanent upgrades are solid, not easy to be removed from the crew. It would take time for them (in real time) to destroy a mast or something else.

     

    So I would like to ask especally for a first rate ship, which gets borded, that the permanent upgrades stay inside the ship sothat the new holder can decide if he wants to keep them or to replace them.

  14. While I can see the usefulness of an arena style that is NOT the reason why I bought the game and I am sure the majority will profess the same. Actually it was exactly the absence of it that made me do it. The promise of open world, sand box :)

     

    But a Sea Trials little niche could benefit down the road.

    i agree with , the open world and rvr and other cool things related to the map are fantastic and they bring me here; but at the same time they take away too much time and life is short we know... so yes, open world is cool but when i got only 1 hour to play a matchmaking without loss of durability would be awesome! (still pay for repairs and be paid for dmg u do)

I believe people would keep playing this game for longer if they could dip in for 30-60mins and have a fun 3v3, or 6v6, instead of the 2-10 hours its takes if you join up for a port defense or attack. It is a shame the Tournament room is not available to try this. I also think there should be no Dura loss and very little gold (enough to cover repair if you win, but not lose).  It would mean people would bring 1st rates in.

    i am agree with you mate ; i think that many more people will join small and large battle if there are no loss like in many other games, maybe if u got damage on ur ship u have to repair that only this, and if u sank with ur first rate u have only to repair that for 100k or so... BUT if u do massive damage u got some $.. this will be awesome imho.

    if i got only 1h to play i ll never play NA atm... only for find some bad PvP u need to sail for 30 min at least; with fast large or small battle i will instead enjoy this beatiful game more when i have less time to play! but atm i cant join small battle in my Santi cause the risk of lose it.

    imagine a fast placed battle with 10v10 first second and frigate or 15v15 , that would be cool and if u win u can also earn some money

  16. I have noticed similarly that at least the graphics on the l'Ocean have similar(that the graphics for the smoke and flash etc are lower than the bottom gun deck), il see about making a video of it tomorrow as well.

    i can confirm that spanish first rate Santisima does NOT have this problem, but i cant test other line ships atm, btw thx for the video

    everyone can sail a bucentaure and fire the lower deck to see it's bugged in the way i describe it. just lock the other 2 decks and fire with the rapid broadside key :) happy to see u here admin

     

    PS: i have a very poor connection and pc mate , and i ve never registered a video and uploaded , so if u can prove urself the buc... it's a fantastic ship but this difference of some meters in height make the last deck horrible to use in battle

  18. That's weird.

    You mean that when they built the ship they were so dumb that they decided to lower the deck so the guns could fire in the water when the ship is stopped?

    And the British who took a few of those French ships loved that feature so much that they used them as well ?

    Fortunately the Victory doesn't have that feature.

    So far the only way to fire a broadside and try to avoid the problem is to fire by deck and adjust the bottom battery to aim high and it doesn't always work.

    the moderator simply fail there , dont worry he changed his idea later after seeing screenshots... post without see attached files.... FIX THE BUG PLS
