  1. cool sorry for not staying fully abreast with developments. its a lot to read and i miss things some times.
  2. hello, i would love to see rare trade items like diamons or furs, avalible only from select towns in select regions. diamonds from central america(only) and demanded for purchase in nation capitals or freetowns at least some certain distance from point of origion furs from america...and america doesnt buy furs so the trader must smuggle them out to another nations towns. balance it by setting price based on range, so if diamonds come from central america, AMERICA wont pay soooo much for them due to short distance...but they pay premium for like french purfume.... meanwhile france pays a killing for diamonds sailed all the way from the gulf by some intrepid trader. this would allow for pirates and privateers to camp trader ports and also put more traders on the OS where they belong. every one loves a good haul. (never mind did not know it was being dealt with)FLAGS please make it increasingly expensive to purchase flags. something that will effectively limit a nations ability to cover the map. i'm not bitching here so please don't flame me. i'm pvp2 france, we own our capital and thats it because we got steam rolled fair and square. we also have basically zero chance of reclaiming any lost turf at the moment due to numbers and drama ect. word i get it. its just kinda lame is all. and boring. we cannot offer a fight and we have nothing to defend. there is no point in being french? amirite?
  3. awww come on. the calms dont need to be bone crushing. and as for advance knowledge of winds...no??? there are several wonderful examples of the wind literally smashing invasion forces, or turning at the last moment to favor this side or that. in drakes day the wind arrived and englands wind powered ships defeated the oar powered vessels of her enemies...meanwhile in japan the kamakaze (spelling shut up i know) winds suddenly arose and smashed an entire invading chinese(?) army. point is that the wind can and should be a powerful wild card in the game. throw out calms if you will....but RNG wind would be seriously bad ass
  4. can the wind stop racing around counter clock-wise? i would prefer a strait-up RNG wind generator over this contestant speed wind rotation. i would prefer a RNG generated system with guidelines like: cannot change with in 30s of another change rare chance of changing by more than........like i dunno...70 degrees at once. just to avoid situations where u are sailing along with a perfect wind and then BAMM HEADWIND! cuz is that even realistic at all??? thay can math in situations where the wind rotates around 70+ degrees in slightly more or less varying segments ending with a squall and you are in a storm. that would be really cool. can we also become becalmed? just have a few moments where RNG says THIS AREA OF THE MAP SHALT HAVE NO WIND. and let it be so. people will get mad....but really...ships were becalmed all the time back in the 1800's. (edited for terrible spelling corrections)
  5. oh! i did not know this.; dont they then either lose their current ship/dura on their ship?
  6. even if they added a sub they could just credit like 2-3 months to playes who owned the game previous to the subscription model being added. i agree that i would love for this game to be developed far beyond initial sales.
  7. hey guys AWESOME GAME!! I personally would like to see some sort of provision element added to the game. i.e. my ship can store provisions for 3-5 or 6-9 or honestly enter duration (here) and once my provisions run low i gain a debuff to sail reaction time and reload and when i am out of provisions i suffer like 50% timer increases or something like that. i think this would be a rather cool feather to compliment the days at sea ticker. adjust my suggestion in some real meaningful way ect. I think i have seen this next request already but I shall mention it again. the way end of battle loot works is beyond cumbersom. that he/she who boards an enemy vessel is the only person who has the right to loot it or take command of it at the end of the fight is obnoxious and makes helping lower level captains cap ships annoying. there is no real reason that i cannot use my larger crew to subdue a ship and a lower level commander can commandeer it. also looting at the end. say we knock over a trading brig, the captain who did the boarding action is the only one who has access to the loot pool. i feel that it would be lovely if we could have a player in a trade/cargo ship of our own and just have him be a mule basically. instead of returning to port after every single successful action. I hope these suggestions are well received and thanks so much for such an amazing game. Cheers!!
