Flags are nice and pretty but colors can be enought. Option 3 is hard to read for a beginner and can be confusing in the battle. I find that option 4 is the much efficient, it allows a quick read of the situation.

Hey there, I like number 14, the idea of four squares seems good to me, and with a quick look you can have all the info you need. I'd like it more with the icons instead of the titles (morale, cover...).
