  1. Wouldn't it be great, if one could personalise the paintjobs for each ship?

I understand that it may not be possible to provide us with an own painting device to make own "skins".

But a choice of 3 - 5 paintjobs per ship would be great.

Or, like some sims and games had: selectable areas, like the cannon deck stripe - you can select one from many colours.

Same for the hull, and the masts etc.

That would be a dream-come-true for me!

Hello I agree.  Please have a look this link and let us to know.

    Thank you.

  2. not too keen on the idea ..most british ships historically were black and tan not red ....however it would be good to see a clan flag added to mast tops so you can identify your clan mates during battle easier

I agree in some part with you, nevertheless :...which  paintsheme or models do you prefer ?...because you don´t give a proposal, you don´t say nothing about it. The problem is currently all the ships are brown, yellow or black.  Some of them are fit historical in accurate way, however there is a lot of ship that looks like identical yellow patern, even if they were crafted in differents countries or shipyards.

Please say if you prefer the current boring model, or given us a best suggestion, because only with addition of flags,

    I think wouldn´t be enough.

    Thank you.

  3. Something like this with blue, I still believe that to many colors would be worse, but blue on top suit very good and it is historical as well...

See this blue modification, in this way they still keep the main color for his faction, red, orange, white or yellow...etc

  4. Thank you Antonio, I Knew that this suggestion is not Historic, but maybe could help in battle. Could be easier to see the enemies in the middle of the cannons smoke.

Anyway, another kind of colors could be suggested to the DEVs, but my idea is to do something easy and avoid to much colors.

Thanks for your information. As some people said the blue color is present in many models, I´m thinking to do arrange in one model with blue top details for each faction, except pirates, or maybe green details for Denmark.

If you want we can do another suggestions more historical.

  5. Sorry, I change Dutch....and I will change a little bit more accurate colors, and flags,  if the Devs respond to this  thread, or if people liked those ideas. Of course there are a thousand of combinations or differents colors and this is only a small suggestion. Who I wanted to show them is that possible to do a seriuos, or accurate customization following the historical view.

Thank you for your ideas. You can show here your prefer colours with your picture´s ships.

  6. Thank you Antonio,  I put color in your idea.  Could be a nice customization.

Have a look and let me know your opinion.

One suggestion could be as player you can only choose one customization for free. Only the faction inner shade.

If some player wants another color, he should get it by capture. It means you can not pick out every color.

I hope the Devs could make this changes in customization. Changes in Flags and little color for ships would be nice.

    Thank you.

    Marques.

  7. I would like to color the ship by myself. The Parts of the hull and the Sail Color should be changeable.

Maybe some predefined patterns for the sails like a cross or something.

I disagree,  multicolor for sails, or multicolor for ships would be a kaos. Nothing to do with the historical view.

Only Flags should be allow for players.  Ship´s color should be reduce only one per faction. Nobodys wants thousand of multicolors, or benetton style, because would be so ridicoulus for XVIII century.

  8. I suggest a small customization. No mandatory. Every player can choose the regular, or the custo shade given for his country. Only one shade for faction. But able to choose many diferents flags. Every country, in those times, had a trading company with their own flag.

Only a small approach about the shades and diferent flag, you can see in this images. Please have a look, and let me know your opinion. This is the same Ship, Ingermanland, in 7 differents shades:

    m8EA7La.jpg  British  usually  RED LIGHTER

    j0KeVVj.jpg Denmark  RED  DARK

    6460QPW.jpgDucht  .  ORANGE

    UJhH3eO.jpgFrench   Ligh BLUE, or WHITE.

    003AtIP.jpgSpanish.  YELLOW

    ypA2MzB.jpgSverige.  BLUE and  Less Yellow.

    33Emml8.jpg  Pirates.  BROWN  DARK,  BLACK.

     They have many differents Flags.

Why that style?  Why not a historical map style, such as the West Indies Atlas 1775 that so much of the concept art was inspired by?  I don't know about anyone else, but when I look at a map I want it to be as if I am in my cabin looking at a real map.

You already have colors, in 1755,  did you know ?.... this is from your own link....a real Map of caribbean with color. Year about 1755. There are many maps in color.  See them, from 1700 to 1800:

  10. Mariners are uninterested in land forms and topography, except for identifying major coastal navigation points from the ship's point of view. IRL, soundings and bearings are what you see on nautical charts.

Please read correctly... I said colors... ¿Do you understand...shade??... Not cities names in middle earth.

This is a game, not a real navigation job...Of course, this kind of map could be modified to become a nautical chart, but need to be something nice to see, no a lot of boring blue. Make you please a better proposal.

  11. I suggest this kind of clasical-ancien map. With clear letter type. Pergaminus background and similar to Game of the Thrones. Please see the model here:

Real map, with colours,  about 1756:

GRACIAS

  13. For me it is very easy.  Some historical facts should be included in game. In Europe Naval Action, an Caribbean sea as well.  In this way, each nation should be ready in time to play those battles. As the final, the peace treaty refund the territories to the origin owner, as you say. Perfect.

This system should be tested because you need a historical calendary to be followed. Would be like a big Campaign in others games. ( Napoleon Total War)

Opinar.

    Gracias.

  17. Historical value could be the best thing to improve this game.  Mission or Campaigns that make you to learnt about Europe History.

Like famous battles, famous Generals, Kings and Queens,  famous campaings, historical facts, or others similar we already have seen in Total War Napoleon, Rome II,  or Empire.

We can learnt a lot about the Europe history because ussually we knew few things only about own history, and not about others countries history.

Therefore Europe map for NA would be a great improve for this game.

  18. Why an Europe unconquerable  ?..... You allways will have undefended cities , or garrisons, or small cities to conquer ( see the history, for example: Mahon, Sicily, Gribaltar, Malta, Tenerife, and many others..... )

I agree with you, it doesn`t make correct to do as we have now in NA Caribbe.

But remember how Napoleon did to control the seas, and remember how England assault many cities from theirs ships.

I think would be more interesting than the Caribbean.... Big battles like TRAFALGAR  were in Atlantic, Baltic,  and Mediterraneum seas.

    Thanks for your opinion.

  19. In real life the Pirates didn´t go to Naval Academy...they ussually didn´t know how to write or read.

They don´t want to be great sailors or admirals....they want only drink and fuck women.

In my opinion this is the reason why they don´t know how to rule big ship. Pirates in Naval Action they shouldn´t be allow to

drive any big ship. Only Frigates. No Santisima, No Victory, No St.Pavel...etc

Or you can built for them Naval College.
