Danes attacked jereme before you pirates did so yeah 50 3rd rates you lost to take 1 port
Danes backed out halfway through and left with most of there fleet as far as i heard they lost 2-3 ships? so no it was not 50, more like 27 or something like that (Not counting the British losses)
Then we decided we wanted fun, so our captured 3rd rates with no upgrades on and prob about no more than 6 repair kits so they cost what 60k gold in the repairs and take no more than 15 mins to capture
(Bearing in mind we made over 300k gold and 3k xp each in that battle)
we decided we'll go into battle with em for a laugh and some fun on Friday night, we were hoping the brits would face us in open water with there superior fleet but they didn't so hey whatever we'll go into the PB and try and take out Victorys...
To be honest we don't care about ships as upon a map reset we'll lose them anyway, Fun and experiences are what make a game and we all had fun. Don't know why you've gone so defensive on a little fun both sides had a laugh yet you seem to have gone mad about pirates ships lost and that numbers maters 20....50...1000 who cares when im old and grumpy we'll look back and smile and what happened...Fun,
Next time you get into a battle like that and see how much fun it was

aye i lost a capped 3rd rate, gained 370k gold which is more than enough for 1 3rd loss and captured a Bellona outside.
In the end we can look at this and see it's win-win for both sides... we both gained...we both had fun....which means this game devs have done something right,
First time in a long while where i thought losing was not a waste of time and the rewards were good enough for the time spent in battle

Im not even going to debate with you (you seem to have taken it personally) but in the end something went wrong... them crashing alone is a bug, The screenshot was taken by another player which is not zombie so that's 2 perspectives on the issue so it happened to more than 1 person.

As far as i know does not matter when towers got destroyed etc when it's 5/5 and 2/2 or above you win instantly to stop the select few griefing the match by running away and wasting everyone's time

Everything on UI in that screenshot shows that they won the battle, the towers 5/5 are gone and that have 3.5/2 BR difference which means they won... (And we all no BATTLE VICTORY pops up instantly when those are met) And as you can see the ones that left with 'escaped' means they left with every idea that they won due to the UI and as he said crashed on the Victory/reward screen.
Even with those people that left they still have the BR advantage and im assuming when those people left they warned the others they were crashing and told em to stay.
A huge bug appears to have happened which could have happened to any nation, ignore that fact what nation they are and you want to protect yarr British honour/port
A bug happened it needs to be reported and hopefully find out what happened...

I think you might have left the battle before the Battle Over message popped up no? Certainly your screenshot shows lots of people leaving.
What port was it?
Yeah but that makes no sense as they have destroyed 5/5 towers and have the BR superiority as you can see at the top even with those people that left so in theory the battle should have been won instantly when both of those were met.
but it does not show 'BATTLE OVER' at the top of the screen which must mean that something must have bugged out to cause it, best to give a bug report and hopefully it gets sorted out.... As it takes awhile to set up some port battles so these people 'wasted' there time

so with the new patch the pirates may have the dubious honour of losing the only 1st rate by flipping...
Maybe the fact the flipping of the Victory caused it to be patched? we;ll never know! (unless told)

Also with the current patch physics are alot more solid now so this would not occur again it seems, I have rammed multiple ships to test it after the patch and my 3rd rate had trouble 'mounting' a mercury

The fun fact is, for the rest of this games lifespan, the first Victory to sink was a pirate being flipped by The Royal Navy. Doesn't matter how many ports you can cap in a night, this will be brought up from time to time...
To be fair most people that were in the battle even on pirate side we laughing (Apart from Warthog i assume) so it will be a laugh to bring up on both sides(It's already used as a joke on the Pirate TS/Chat) the issue is from what it sounds like and from what i have gathered from people saying is the 'milking' of some people of this happening trying to enforce gloat/skill caused it.
Honestly i'm not one for poking and pointing i just want to sink ships ya British Pompous scallywags!

Well at least we can appreciate the fact he had the balls to bring it out, Most people would when they get a 1st rate hide it in port and use it as propaganda.
On another note these physics....so good.... To be honest people should have waited for them to place the flag instead of going into a open world battle! But atleast we can say we don't hide behind towers! harhar!
Normally takes 2 people to flip ships of that size so i think the guy in the victory should have handled it better as it appears hes sailing into the 3rd but alas i didn't see it i was to busy far away getting messed up due to placement during start of the match, placed me within the mass of British ships xD

I doubt the Pirates who are busy doing important things like plundering around sunbury would care to much about MT, All that is left there atm are new players and traders.... Only time you will see the big boys is when they need to use it as a point to defend a port south or something...
