    Another small bug fix patch.

    Balance Changes
    - Maximum academy officer xp is now capped by year.

    Bug Fixes
    - Fix crash at Pickett's charge.
    - Fix displayed deploy slots at Rendezvous.
    - Fix issue with horse artillery moves speed being higher than intended.
    - Fix display of current army strength bar in recon tooltip. English language only.
    - Fix bug with merging non-infantry units in camp.

    changelog:
    Performance Improvements
    - Various updates to restore improve FPS in larger battles. The largest battles will still cause notable drops but the mod should perform approximately as well as the base game again.

    Balance Changes
    - Reload speed for mounted carbine cavalry now has a penalty when not moving.
    - Infantry firing arc is 25% wider.
    - DN&C damage reduced slightly.
    - Infantry weapon costs adjusted.
    - Pistol range increased slightly.
    - Henry range curve improved slightly
    - Minimum xp gained by an officer participating in a battle now increased by battles led.

    Text Changes
    - Weapon descriptions updated. Thanks to TheSoldier.

    Bug Fixes
    - Union Gettysburg day 2 save issue fixed.
    - CSA Gaines Mill, all supply wagons now deploy.
    - DN&C reload speed fixed.
    - Whitworth ammo cost fixed.
    - Fixed timer at Siege of Suffolk.

    @pandakraut Do the confederates ever get the 4.5" siege gun in the armory during the campaign?  I just finished a union campaign on major general, and found the siege gun to be extremely effective.  I'm a little worried how to counter it at confederates when the AI has it.

    The CSA gets some from the Reputation Shop, but nothing in the shop.  They do have the Whitworth Cannons though and those are good for counterbattery.

     

    Edit: The CSA do not get Whitworth cannons in the shop.  They should though...

    Which brings to mind another question:  Horse Artillery seems to be THE level-1 perk option.  If that's the obvious & overwhelming preference pattern among players, then maybe re-think what you're offering.

    I would greatly suggest you try out the other level 1 perks and get 2 or 3 star artillery with heavier guns.  You will find that the damage they put out is quite high.  Watch Panda's 2nd Bull Run Video to see why.
