There should be an update that would allow fishing to be a reliable way to earn reals. There could be fishing boats added to the game of all rates, similar to how there are trading ships of all rates, where bigger ships can hold more fish. These fishing boats would be able to catch much more fish than other ships, at a much faster rate. Then you could sail back to port to sell the fish for a profit. There could be certain areas in the ocean that spawn specific kinds of fish, as well as certain ports in the game that will pay more for specific kinds of fish. Players may have to sail further out into the ocean to catch more valuable fish.
