Question

Ahoy, pirate here. I haven't been on in a couple years and only read a few of the more recent updates so I could've easily overlooked something but there's been this thing that's bugged me since I began my life of piracy back in 2016. One thing that bugs me most is that I'm forced to completely disable and board a trade ship to take it. In AC4 that was fun, but I really don't wanna have to do that for every single merchant ship I attack. If realism is the goal here, than why not have a system where it calculates your ship and crews firepower and your rank perhaps and compares it to that of your AI target. Add in whatever variables would apply and roll for the chance that the enemy ship surrenders before the fight even starts, or surrenders after a certain amount of damage is sustained.
