While the Russo Japanese war was happening at the other side of the world Norway and Sweden where mobilizing against each other.
Norway had broken free of the Union with Sweden unilaterally and while politicians negotiated naval forces where concentrated on the Swedish West Coast and Norway's South coast.

There where not the expensive Pre-Dreadnoughts of the major powers it was fleets of smaller armored ships with usually two 25cm or 21cm guns and 6-8 12cm or 15cm guns in a displacement of around 3-4000 tons Sweden had the numerical Superiority with about twice but the ships the Norwegian ships where more modern on average.
