Muskets fires without boarding necessary

I would suggest to activate the Muskets firing from crews not only in boarding situation, but lets say in a short distance as well during normal ship engagement.

 

I found and i see a lot of historic tellings mentioning about those crew with muskets firing even when not boarding but let's say a little near the enemy ship.

 

i suggest to see this movie which i think it has a good historic fidelty and u see here as well, muskets firing from ship to ship and not during board situation.
