  1. You're a paranoid idiot. This is not an ad hominem attack, by the way. This is really what transpires from your moronic prose, quoted above.

There is exactly ZERO russian in KotO, and we're 175+ strong. BIA are all italians. LV is (almost?) entirely german. ACE is full of spaniards. RUBLI are russians, yes, so what? They're not allowed to play?

Like Mouse of War wisely said earlier in the thread, the nationality of a player shouldn't matter, only that of his or her in-game character. Stop coming up with idiotic excuses to make up for your poor performance, this is terrible form.

Edit: Well, apparently we have TWO russians in KotO. I wasn't even aware of that, shows you how much political power they must wield.

You can call me paranoid all you want.

The Russian Commonweath has a clear mission statement that they work together with Russian clans between nations.

  2. No, just no.

There is no pirate nation, or even Denmark nation.  There is the hidden "Russian" nation.

That continues to use game breaking loop holes to win their battles.

Making multiple steam accounts and alts so they can enter port battles that are limited to 25 players and then promptly leaving? So as to limit the actual number of ships of the line above 3rd that we can field? Yep, they have done it. Multiple times now.

Working as a "nation" between pirates and Denmark just because they believe themselves as the "Russian" nation? Yep they are doing that.

Until NA figures out how to make sure there is 1 account, 1 player, per IP address, there is never going to be balance in this game.  These are game breaking tactics being used to win this "false" war.

  3. Watch your language captain when talking about us.

Also we have not seen Spain complaining more than others.

Well my language was controlled, and the comment was not directed at "you" but more about the action.

And I as well as many here could link post after post that Spanish players from EU PVP 1 have complained about a hundred different things.  Even today there was one that even claimed that the US was "cheating" and that devs should wipe them all and ban them out of the server.

If you do not like what I am saying that is fine, but I am not saying anything else that most are thinking about this action.

  4. wow. This is some major BS.

The Devs moving into intervene on behalf of one nation that complains the loudest on the forums is a little sad.  They pulled out of Cuba. It is on their own design they given up their captial

  5. Captain, unfortunately without a report it is hard to check what happened exactly, I hope you will fully recover from the loss of it

Did you check if you experience any visual artifacts in other games? What is the temperature of GPU when you play NA?

it does seem I am now getting these visual artifacts in every game.

Care to help ? or am I on my own now to figure this out. fml

  6. As you can see on this screen shot, there are blue boxes all over the ship and sails.

This is present in open world and in battles. It constantly flickers at an insanely high pace almost like a strobe light all over the ship and terrain.

  7. This is a Guild Allaince thread sir... not all clans adhere to the agreements here sadly.

A guild alliance thread? I am pretty sure it says political situation. Politics being at a national level; not agreements from one clan on behalf of the entire nation to another nation.

  8. I seriously think everyone commenting (complaining) on this saying that traders should not be able to teleport, is not a trader.

I can bet money that most are people that PVP, do missions, and generally any other ship to ship combat. Which is so much fun! and exciting! and produces xp! and makes you gold oh so much gold!

Then with all the gold they go to the market, and then become sad because "How dare those traders! they marked up all the resources here! That is not fair! Not historical! Prices need to be lower because I am out having fun and now want to buy what I want! But the prices are too damn high!"

Seriously I can here you all whining behind the keyboards.

You all want to have fun, and be able to travel to any port that is just 3-5 ports away from your capital and buy everything there cheap so you can build your big sexy ships, and get mad that all the resources are gone.

Crazy thing is? There are parts of the map that have ports with 5k iron ore and 4k oak sitting there. Why? No one from the major factions wants to sail 6 hours 1 way.

Now I have, and made some good cash.  But yea I am not sailing 12 real life hours in a game. Take away the teleport, know what happens?

    prices sky rocket.

Coming soon to a port near you!

Iron Ore! cheap only 1150 gold each!

  9. Is there any way to see what other people are listing an item for?

My personal thing is capturing merchants, using their raw materials to craft items and then selling the items I crafted (I figure this way I level up my crafting, get to shoot my guns, and hopefully make a profit along the way).

It would be nice to be able to see all the active contracts listed in whatever port you happen to be in, to gauge the market so to speak.

Right now I'm looking at the listed price in the shop, and cutting my prices by like ~10 percent to under-cut what I assume to be other players? Are those player listings? Or are those auto-generated port listings?

Almost all the buy prices you see are determined by players "sell contracts", and all the sell prices you see are determined by players "buy contracts"

  10. add compass and sector to map. yet im fine with navigation even without any instuments, regular navigation compass works for me.

no need for any map help. Ppl should learn to old way

    The old way would include:

    A ruler

    A protractor

    A Marine Chronometer

    An octant

    A Lunar distance table

Also would record the speed and time traveled at a course and plot out the "approximate" location by Speed/Time = Distance traveled.

There is no scale, no representation of a nautical mile, stop watch, and not to mention the wind changes ever 5 minutes so accurate speed calculations are impossible.

Bottom line, navigation in this game is easy, but to sit there and act like you are somehow amazing and doing it the "old way" is just bullshit.
