My ideal scenario: Mast get a major HP buff, masts cannot get repaired by sail repairs (only sails can). This way demasting would be hard, but matter. Not that we'd spend a couple of minuts demasting only to see it go back up again..

I think only 3 pirate clans are allied to spain and USA, all others still do as they wish. Yarr!!

I guess i will contact an sorry the next time if i have/see problems with what they do, before putting anything in nation chat, that was my mistake. Altho i would like to add that if you guys where a little more transparent about giving certain nations certain regions, all this would not have happened (from my side atleast).

I think agruments in national chat are nececary and unavoidable in a nation that is split up like the pirates. There is many agendas of many different groups. Certain groups that have leverage and actively use it to there advantage. In some way nation chat is also a tool to people's agenda. Think about screening for certain port battles for example. I only see nation chat improve if we 'unite' the pirates, wich most people are not interested in.
As Xanturas said above me: it's not fair to label SORRY as nation chat abusers. It's a large clan in wich most people dont engage in national chat. Some do, as do I when our interests conflict.

I guess i should add to this. Since i engaged SORRY in national chat a few times the last few days. Please note that i dont hold any personal grudges against sorry, we've been tolerating eachothers existance and choises within the pirate nation.
Let me start by explaining why: sorry together with 18bek and gaf made some deals with other nations (wich is compleatly fair). The problem (for me) being that these deals impact the gameplay of all other pirates being a part of the deal or not. I was spreading this in nation chat so people could make up there mind to either join the deal or resist, as i'm afraid information about the deal only reached a small minority of pirates. This (understandably) led sorry to defend the deal in nation chat.
I understand that it can ruin your gameplay experience to see people arguing or even fighting in national chat, and i apologise for that. Then again i dont see another way to spread awareness if it's not trough national chat or forums, in both cases it will end in an exchange of heated arguments.

I think with the right wood, skillbooks and perms combined you can get a bellona up to 15 knts. Speed meta is real...

In some of these freetowns I got warehouse extensions aswell, stuff will not fit in a normal port. I guess the warehouse extensions move aswell?

That looks like a very nice battle. May i ask what the 3rd ship was that escaped? (and if you remember the escaped enemies aswell)

I personally prefer another option, combined with one of yours.
Make the social perk only work if the initial attacker has the perk, (battle will be open for both sides tho).
Then probably decrease the time to 5-10 mins.

Are you crazy? Do you wake up at 4am (as an example) just to play a port battl?? Hahahahah man, that's insane.
You have a really wide timezone from west coast to east cost, don't come saying those are the only hours you can fight. That's "mierda de toro" and you know it. You just figured out those are the only hours your ports are safe

As a EX-USA player, that left because of timezone issues, I can tell you this is the case.
Spain cannot attack in USA time zone, USA cannot attack in Spain timezone. Simple player base issues.
Of course both parties will set timers on times when they can defend ports.

Actually there is an american server that allow them to play with a better ping... They prefered to come to the europe server where they can take advantage of those impossible timers for europe people
If you honestly believe this is the reason, then there is not much hope you'd ever understand any explanation in regarding the NA core players staying on the same server.

Now, now, cut 'em some slack. They're too busy adding such vital features as food supplies to have time to repond to the pirate issue that has been raised again and again over the last several months.
Now upon release something will happen? Whatever.
People keep telling themselves the problem lies with pirates mechanics, while right now the pirate have no single advantage over any nation. Smuggler option made the playing field equal.Yes players go pirate when their nation get's wrecked. When they change the pirates, there WILL be another dominant nation to whom players will flee.The delete/switch might cost a little more, it will still happen.Wishful thinking. The devs wasted time working on short time goals that the community requested, like the waiting lists we requested after steam EA launch. I'm glad they are not making the same mistake again.-

IMO it's not as much about switching pirate or back. If pirate mechanics are changed there will be another nations that blobs the map. There will always be people that switch to the winning side. It's mostly a port mechanic issue, wich they are working on as we speak. If you think being a pirate is easy mode then i'd like to see you switch to a nation to make a challange for yourself.
You only need 1 person (or alt with pc) to switch a nation, only losing blueprints and a little port unlock gold. Nothing major at all.
A mechanic needs to be made at some point for sure, it's for me personally just not an priority

This list is amazing! Really helpfull. Altho they are slightly out of date now. I understand it's a pain to keep it up to date without detaild changelogs on patches..
