  1. In places with very high pings (300+) the slowness of the database which stores things like ports causes problems like this. for anyone used to reasonable pings they cannot see the problem, for me it mean waiting for the system to catch up all the time. ink is the man if anyone is, but it is a problem when accessing most of the UI for some of us with third world infrastructure..

  2. While you may not want to admit there is a server side problem Ink, these issue have been experienced by Australian players on Global

and it appears to be getting incrementally worse by the day, as per Red Dragon 13 above  as well as stupendous lags and being kicked from the game .

I am keen to see the results of all the updates received over the last weeks but stability issues seem to be creeping in.

Great work by the way,  love the game.

  3. I think that the weather in game has moved from the sunny Caribbean in it early release to a foggy dull English channel sort of weather, it is really be coming a put off.

Enough with the dark brooding atmospherics, we are a few degrees from the equator and the weather should reflect that. It was suggested to me that a short holiday in the Caribbean would do the developers and staff the world of good.

I also like realistic weather so storms and the odd fog are fine but not all day every day this is not Kiev, please look at the weather forecast in Jamaica or Cuba it is not always overcast  like some parts of Europe.

Apart from that the game is certainly improving bit by bit

  4. Honestly I think this one dura  update will be a disaster of epic proportions, after 4000 hours in game the only really exciting time was when ships where actually free based on rank (close beta) you simply didn't think of ships cost. I think if the test server need 3 dura 1st's, then what makes anyone think that 1 dura ships in game will work, even if resource cost are cut dramatically, the current restrictive trade good model (silver and compass) will make one dura ships a waste of time for the average player. The only one's who will benefit are the rats who just cap everything and me who crafts so many ships I loose track. Also you will loose another third of players which seems to happen when ever there is a wipe for good or bad.

Well I hope this game eventually stabilises it has so much potential, both as a game and as a business for the devs, but I have lost my faith for the moment.

  5. As a 50 crafter and long time player, I think there is a desperate need to adjust either the drop rate of fine woods or the quantities of fine wood needed to craft a non basic ship. I only need to look at the price of exceptional ships to see the mechanism is broken. from making 3 ships a week I now am lucky to make 1 every 10 days. honestly I am not interested green or basic ships they are a total waste of resources  now all getting difficult to find with the simplified basic mats economy.

I used to purchase 1-2 k of craft hours per day from noob players to make me ship parts and so support a larger economy,  now I cannot usefully use the hours I have, result crafting is totally stalled. new players have nil chance to get BP's unless the drop rates have changed dramatically, something I hope to never need to do again..

So my simple request is get a little realistic about fine wood quantities required for crafting, or dramatically up the drop rate of fine wood production. unless you do something  the whole craft side of the game will wither and die.

My feeling on the rest of the game are relatively positive, and  while I like the hostility mechanism, the Port battle is another matter, we capture 1 port mostly with SOL's and get 4 ports free, that is totally stupid, very few opportunities for PB and often they are unopposed, poor old spain. this desperately needs more work including needing to capture each and every port, before a region is owned.

  6. hi devs whats the story I cannot create an outpost in a national port, since Maintenance today on PVP2,

have the money have the slot this only appear to apply in Port Morant which was recently re acquired by Britian

other player report not being able to delete them

I hope this can be sorted quickly

sorry worked it out me bad lol

  7. re installed everything at least once, took the machine back to formatted disk, not much more reinstalling I can do.

Perhaps if devs look at the 30 or so crash reports

that have been automatically sent each time, them perhaps I might have some where to go.

  8. I have flag that my NA has crashed in the past, and that endless crash reports have been sent automatically by NA.

I have reloaded windows 10,  Steam, NA, read the forums, measured GPU temperature  but it was never above 60C

reduced the resolution , set OW frame rate to 30 frames as per dev suggestion, but honestly I am over it completely.

I play as Captain Clark on PVE us

the total lack of feed back is probably what really annoys me, but just for the record

  9. This is just flag that port information is stored on a players PC, if you reload Naval action or play on a different machine then all port information collected in the past disappears into the ether.

So unless you go back to the original install it is gone, pity if you have crashed, burned and reloaded the game.

Is this a feature or a bug, for me it has been a total pain in the ass. as I play on two different machines, a desktop and a laptop depending on where I am physically.

My suggestion to the developers, is that like craft and xp, the map be stored with the player on the server.

  10. I have followed you advice re GPU-Z but  another day,10 min in game another crash, couldn't get the gpu over 60c. I have checked the steam game cache with NP

This must be the 20th crash report the game has sent under the name Captain Clark, it is client.exe which appears to cause the crash, how do we progress this.

seems odd it is done in a public forum,

I have rolled back my machine a week, reloaded naval action and updates, windows 10 updates, graphics card drivers.

and had no crash so far after 1 hour, is it fixed only time will tell.

Well that lasted a couple of hours then crash out again where can I post error logs or is this automatic

More crash's more crash reports sent , nice to have some feed back on all these crash reports.

  11.  I am having the same problem as JPJohns in the last 24 hours , nothing has changed on my system for months except your so called up dates, I find your error reporting tool as useless as the current NA

how can I even attach the crash file, if your final program is like this it will be a total failure. if the game was working yesterday and crashes every ten min now what has changed

finally you early maintenance today indicates to me it is you side.which is failing please sort this out.

  12. Not sure what is happening in the last 24 hours but I am having regular game crashs, probably every 10 min  or in the last hour, I have change nothing in my configuration for months

honestly I am completely over it, is it me or the game, who can tell, not happy.

Then you go to maintenance early today no explanation so I assume it is NA side please fix this, if it is NA side otherwise you will loose another loyal customer

  13. I like the idea of provisioning,  if it is realistic, adds another great dimension to the game.

I think the developers idea of a one off craft is at best a short term solution which has nil merit. food carried on a ship should be very linked to ship type and crew size.

The idea of different food type as suggested in numerous posts is ideal, with farms, plantations, fishing these are a  very good idea but will need fleshing out.

Moral based on current food supply is a great idea. Scurvy was the biggest enemy of life at sea, and rum was absolutely essential, no rum = mutiny

Crafting food and raw materials should not be linked to craft hours, lets get that fixed it is a total pain and adds nothing to the game except grind.

I think you have a great game but we need to eliminate some of the endless grind. it is one of the key reasons players are leaving in droves.

  14. While I managed to avoid loosing my ship and 2.5 M in cargo, others weren't so fortunate, at least one santi with a lot of very expensive upgrades was lost, causing lot of angst from experienced players.

I hope admin address these losses, as  the investment in ships is substantial in both time and effort.

While server side issues are to be expected from time to time, players need to have this address asap to avoid loosing faith in the game which appears to have taken a substantial hit in the past few weeks

  15. One of the major issues with resources which can be easily addressed, is the current limit on contracts.

I mean 5 contracts  what where they thinking, this makes it noncompetitive in major markets, this needs to be changed to at least 10 contract and possibly more.

At present why would you compete in a market when you only have a maxim of 5.

This leads to economic system which can only fail even in the short term .

  16.  There  some strange stuff happening on PVE  today, initially very high ping, my end is normal if not faster than normal, then restart an hour later no chat, national, global or help tabs work, ping fine, I think we have a problem.  but what it is I am not sure what it is, also my clan chat says I am not here, friends tab is empty sounds fishy to me they haven't all deserted me. any thoughts

  17.  I have been sailing an Ingermanland for a few missions and let say even without a full crew and no copper plate upgrade in live oak. She sails faster than a Bellona or a 3rd, turn rate seems good for a 4th rate, it can stand in line of battle and looks fantastic in a 17th century way, At present they are very hard to get and relatively expensive, the lack of a BP drop from building the Ingermanland, makers her a dead end for crafters, But I bet every gold one will be sold for a premium.  I am very happy with this ship

  18. love the game but I think that the breaking up of ships with permanent upgrades should attract a drop in notes of what ever type was used to make them, perhaps even for high grade ships that took a lot of notes to make.

Currently there is no incentive to break ships, the BP drop % is so small it is ridiculous, parts drop is equally small, this could make break ship a real option.
