Please check that router/software is not blocking ports 7770, 8089, 5672, 5222, 8080, 21020-21036, 7401-7600 for the game, also turn off all programs which use internet heavily (like torrent programs, netflix clients, K9 kind of software etc.), disable antivirus, firewall any other protection/filtering software, also, you can try to put your router into DMZ mode.

 

If this won't help please send report through Steam Launch option "Report Connection Test" and post report name here (it will look like NAS-XXXX)

I'm having trouble retrieving the shard list.  

I get the message:

Error shard config request failed

 

Can I please have advice on this issue?

I wonder how much accurate the data is. The British have the same number of unrated Navy ships as all the other nations cumulated. And the French have one and a half the cumulated number of privateer ships. Also the prime ship types vary per nation: the Russians have a lot of 1st rates and 3rd rates, the Dutch a lot of 2nd and 4th rates. If we put the % of ship types compared to the total number of rated ships:

I would like to see 

 

we should be allowed in open world to "dump the guns" to get away from incoming ships and loose the weight of them 

 

also like 1 officer on the quarter deck just 1 

 

when you are chasing a ship or wanting to go fast you should be able to put up the side sails for extra speed

Mortar brig launched. Slow, very thick structure (to support strong recoil), ugly, but very effective. Best use against land batteries (NPC or Player controlled)
