The Bonhomme Richard is an old ship of the East India Company. They are not reputed for their speed!
In addition, it is weighed down by additional artillery and by raising the poop.

I do not think it's very efficient. But it is very beautiful vessel!

i just post how beauty is she .

I propose the Texas Navy Sloop-of-War Austin:

The Austin was a 600 ton ship-rigged sloop in the Second Texas Navy that is most famously remembered for being immortalized on the cylinder of the 1851 Colt Navy revolver. The scene engraved on the Colt depicts the 1843 Naval Battle of Campeche Bay, between the Mexican Navy and the Republic of Texas and Republic of Yucatan naval forces. This battle is notable as the only time an all-sail-powered force defeated an enemy with steam powered vessels.

She carried a crew of 23 officers and warrant officers, 151 sailors and marines and was armed with 16 medium 24-pound cannons, two 18-pound medium cannons, and two 18-pound long cannons. She began construction in 1839 as the Texas in Baltimore by the Schott and Whitney firm, and was delivered to the Texas Navy and commissioned on 5 January 1840 under the command of Captain Edwin W. Moore, TN.

In addition to her participation in the actions off of the coast of the Yucatan against Mexico, she was able to capture several enemy vessels as prizes.

She was commissioned into the United States Navy on 11 May 1846 following the annexation of the Republic of Texas into the United States where she served in Pensacola until she was stricken in 1848.

Here are some more pictures of the Austin

Bookmark this post! In a few months when gb's last 6 ports are under daily attack on eu server, we will see demands for the Devs to fix the game. Mark my words!

Months? weeks ! The DAILY CM gift from devs. is a huge mistake in my opinion. and generate fake PB-s, farming CM"s .

One thing I think is sorely missing from the open world sailing, is the anxiety of encounters.

The moment you can click the tiny sail spotted on the horizon, you imidiately have all the details about who it is, what ship it is including fleet ships, and what nation it belongs to.

I think it would be far more exciting, if you only got partial information based on distance. So at the furthes distance you will get no info (other than "ship/x-ships"), then when a bit of distance is closed you get its rate (5,4,3 etc.), then ship type, and lastly name & nation. (amount of info and distance could be adjusted). This would bring more excitement to the OW sailing, both while hunting and running trade.

and when finally tagging you, then you can decide the player name and nationality ... :)

  5. Yes, another PvE content. ;)

    Whale Hunting!
Give a special model to the game ! The whaler ship must be craftable, cant buy from NPC.

    - go out with this boat and find a whale (maybe: if you're sitting in this ship, there's more chance to find, like another ship)
    - if we hunt one , then it starts processing the whale on the high seas (maybe: there must be a barrel in our cargo)
    - during the processing time our vessel is NOT moving at sea (maybe 1-2 game day at sea).
Very vulnerable, of course, because pvp players will hunt for whale hunters (PvP Mark+ profit)
    - After processing we get: tons of whale meat / fish meat , whale oil (should the barrel add to it, good selling price) and ambergis (very high profit at the port)

    - If the processing is ready, then you can hunt for another whale ( so one whale is 1/2 cargo hold)

With this feature, we can "force" players to the sea, generating PVP as well, because they will be hunting from PvP-ers ( like traders )

I do think that ship Knowledge should be based on the ship your sailing not on all the ships below.

Eventually everyone will be specialised in every ship if that what's needed to max out the 1st rates, and we'll be in the same place we are now.

The 5 slots should be a straight xp grind in that ship, just make the 4th and 5th slots harder!

100 % agreed !! grind from cutter-brig etc. is a NONSENSE. And bring the playerbase very quickly down again ! ( after wipe )
