  1. So I've been looking for this issue several pages deep but I'm surprised it wasn't noted anywhere. Quick suggestions: Display whether an ongoing battle is either open or closed rather than too far or too close, or even both. Display a countdown timer for the window of reinforcing when you click on the crossed swords. Display x number of NPCs on either side of a fight as well as x number of players. Option to join a fight when someone else on your team engages against an NPC or player however if you're inside the circle when a hostile nation attacks a friendly, only then should it be mandatory to join (as it is now). So my reasons for these suggestions: 1. It is quite an inconvenience that when you come across a battle and end up diverting or heading upwind to join it, it ends up being closed. Even when deciding between which battles to join, ending up going to the one that is closed might get you locked out of the other one because of the waste of time. So instead of the "too far from combat" message which is irrelevant in my opinion, being notified if you can reinforce it or not is a better alternative, or even have both. 2. Somewhat the same reason, although this will also let you determine if other nearby reinforcements are able to join (possibly allows you to call out to a nearby port to come assist, which will make everyone think twice about picking a fight too close to a capital or busy port). 3. It is also irritating to join a fight only to find out a player is just farming an AI ship when you expect it to have been a PVP fight or even assuming it's a PVE fight when in fact it's a PVP fight. Maybe this is intended though? Not sure. 4. Stops players getting dragged in to fights where a friendly brig is just attacking a trader. I used to do this to others and have had it done to me and again it's a nuisance However when a hostile member attacks one of your own, the current system should stay in order to encourage defending your allies. And that is that, I'm not saying any of these issues are game breaking or the end of the world but in my opinion (and I've seen some in Global suggest these as well) they are small things that I'm sure every player will really be grateful for. Like I said I'm quite surprised these things haven't been implemented yet but I guess that's what early access is kind of for Cheers for reading Sunxhi.
