Beispiel 1st rates.

  2. what about putting a br limit on pb,so that each side can decide,if they want to fight with for example 6 1 rates against 12 smaller ships.that would make pb much more interesting and create historical atmosphere.24 first rates plus perhaps 1 mortar brig against exactly the same fleet is not what i expect from a historical sim.

that would end this biggerisbetter mentality and give a meaning to support ships like it was 200 years ago.more than that it would give specialized captains on smaller ships the chance to participate.

Honestly I think this one dura  update will be a disaster of epic proportions, after 4000 hours in game the only really exciting time was when ships where actually free based on rank (close beta) you simply didn't think of ships cost. I think if the test server need 3 dura 1st's, then what makes anyone think that 1 dura ships in game will work, even if resource cost are cut dramatically, the current restrictive trade good model (silver and compass) will make one dura ships a waste of time for the average player. The only one's who will benefit are the rats who just cap everything and me who crafts so many ships I loose track. Also you will loose another third of players which seems to happen when ever there is a wipe for good or bad.

Well I hope this game eventually stabilises it has so much potential, both as a game and as a business for the devs, but I have lost my faith for the moment.

as long as we don`t know how much materials and labour hours we need to craft 1 dura ships, the whole discussion about it is just speculation and a waste of time.would be nice to get more information to make crafting planable and the discussion a bit more serious.

Like jon said RoE will change. IF your nation currently only handpicks portbattleplayers you can just go in yourself in the future. Also raids will be another income of ressources except from buildings.

The leakage in players didnt come from important portbattles - it came from boring screening battles and the hostilitysystem itself. farming pve isnt much fun.

What i see will happen will be a bigger rvr playerbase and multiple portbattles each day and portbattleplayers that don't care about buildings or already have all buildingslots filled they can so they sell these things. Crafters and traders have a purpose in supporting the rvr players which return favors in giving these buildingslots away.

I see it as a good change. You should atleast test it because, as dev's already wrote, if it doesnt work it will be hotfixed away

reducing the pvp content to pb won`t get more players to the game and ow pvp is just working with 1500 players or even more.

But still i think it is a good thing because it gives a incentive for players to join the rvr and therefore more pvp will be the result

members of the big clans love the idea, but try to think about the reast of the playerbase.last years plenty of dutch players left the game ,because there was so much trouble about the pb and the resulting rewards and now we are down to max 500 players.do you want an exclusive game for hre,7up and ahoy?

You want a somewhat realistic economy? Well then you cant go around and just claim land for free. Either pay for it or conquer it.

If done right its also a good way to balance resources, right now buildings are useless anyways (except for rare resources like silver) because you can buy them cheaper from the NPC than using a building for it.

If you want to be a trader you can still trade. If you want to play PvE you can still do that. If you want to produce something you have to pay for it or do something for it.

Why not test it first and then judge?

all true, but to make this pb thing even more "elite" is just in favor of a few players.rewards for screeners and ow pvp would be a better way.

You cannot be sure about these two statements, though. Admins said they will open up restrictions on the number of port battles. I think we will see more port battles, so that even for larger nations they wont be dominated by a small elite group any longer. Casual wil participate in port battles. Period. This is already what happens in smaller nations like Sweden or Dutch. The larger the player base the more port battles.

Also, if developers keep 5 buildings per player restrictions, land wil be re-sold inside the nations to casual players, so they can still farm, craft etc. And of course RAID =)

but the pb about the valuable ports will remain in the hands of a few.....

To me I enjoy the uphill battle and setting goals. Too many games now are set to make things easy and no risk. People have become soft.

unfortunatly this game needs a server popülation of about 1500 to 2000 players,if it`s not possible to find a compromize between the wishes of hardcore and casual gamers,it will remain quite dead.please remember that not all the players are members of well organized clans with training ,crafters and backup, because they just don´t have the time to spend 6-8 hours a day playing naval action.its already a horrible grind to reach some goals in na and if you frustrate newbies even more on their way, they will leave much faster...

WOW DEVS THIS IS AMAZING !!

i realy like the update !! this will make the game better hopefully!

very good to see where going into the right direction!

as a result all the casual gamers and beginners will leave and you`ll be alone on this server with a handfull of "hardcore pvp freaks".really amazing.
