  1. TY for the update; edited OP. Sad to hear you've jumped ship. We still see a couple SoBs on every so often. Perhaps you will make a return to PvP2 after the patch? Unless, of course, the majority of your fleet has Euro time as your primetime... :D

I don't see us returning to PvP2 soon, we're well set up on PvP1 and are quite content on here.

It sucks when big clans leave but if you wouldn't leave the population wouldn't drop. People would see all the people in pvp2 and not leave making the population grow more.

I do remember your clan back in the day. Maybe you can find another large US or Spanish clan that fled and bring them back to pvp2. Our population is about the same as pvp1 during US prime time so a move back would shift that balance.

Yeah i understand, and i agree it sucks, but at the same time we all after PvP and we just weren't getting what we wanted on PvP2, no matter where we searched.

  2. [sOB] (Sons of Britain) Decided to migrate to PvP1 a long time ago, we had roughly 175 members at the time of the move, around 80 of them being frequently active.

The decision was made because the server population was dropping like flies, and the clan was thirsty for the big 1st rate battles, that just weren't possible on PvP2 because people decided to flee and leave ports undefended when we came in force to capture them. (which displeased a few french, who I'll leave unnamed)

We still have most of our ships on PvP2, an example being my first ever 1st rate, which was 3/5 Build strength / Speed (Exceptional) Victory.( I miss it still :( )

[sOB] Had started on PvP1 but then reformed to [KIN] (King's Imperial Navy) Due to the Clan leader going MIA.

  3. Small update :

A few teams did not answer the PM we sent them ! theses "team contacts" should have a look at there PMs :

    • KIN Team 1
    • WO Team 1
    • WO Team 2
    • ARSE Team 1
    • ARSE Team 2
    • SLRN Team 2
    • TDA Team 2

All 25 other teams are ready and good to go !

As soon as the last teams have finalised, well shuffle the teams in 8 groups. We may bring a few modifications to avoid same clans being in same groups. As soon as it is done, we'll all link you to the Tournament "interface" where you will be able to see all the groups and matches to come !

ETA around begining of next week

Got that !Though "Critique" is already on the other "KIN" team (and you can have only 1 reserv per team). We may have a few new slots opening up :)

I've been trying to get into contact with the other 2 members of my team but have been unsuccessful thus far (probably on my part because i've been really busy with work, and being in an australian timezone doesnt help :P(yes i've tried mailing in game, no response)), i don't wish to be the one to withdraw us but if any of us cant get in contact with eachother then they'll have to replace me or you may have to withdraw us. Also, me being a reserve is just in case Cantoris cant make it :)

  4. Jeheil as i told you many times, dont talk if you dont know the facts, your approsimative statements always pissed me off even in your video:  Pirates helped spanish with screening, we recaptured many times spanish ports lost to usa, we retook usa ports like apalachicola, i personally buyd dozen of false flags when spanish pulled attack etc, we came countless time to fight on south cuba around portillo, and spanish helped us often when we taken back saint nicholas, then lost it, then retake it etc   But is hard to help spanish 2h away from MT, when   pirates itself are under attack by 4 nations :)

france and denmark are pretty much not playng at all, literally doing nothing in term of big fleets,or attack so they not lift spain/pirates from enemy pression  so essentialy  is spain and pirates vs ALL,         Not complaining again i am not usa who cry when a clan beat them to the ground, i am just posting facts,    Pirates not have a single clan able to field enought numbers for be more efficient then the enemy so is a number game,  for example yesterday     we got  20+ brit firstrate in front of MT, 20+ swedish attacking,  10-15 usa screening, and some dutch squad of gankers around.    Pirate numberS? not even 25. :)

I gave up on pirates, they total uncoordinated, i tryed to form up a coalition ts3 , we made meetings, agreed on stuff and nothing happened, no effort where given by any clan, but every shitty clan prefer to have their 3-5 members in their own ts3 and i refuse to lead shit fleets in a fight where 40% of the people is not even in ts3.    So at this point i prefer pirates to lose all, until people understand that the only way for have a comeback  vs superior numbers is have superior quality standards and organization, when they got enought they now where to find me,   SORRY is going to do mainly OW pvp not helping anymore pb , until  pirate clans figure out that running stuff in that way is ridiculous :)        SORRY not need any territory we have hundreds of millions gold, dozens of firstrates and other ships stockpiled, 50ml in resource, We not need any ports for sustain our economy,  is the average pirate player/clan who need it, and will suffer from it.

But tbh it seams that people not are willing to do what is needed until they suffer a bit

Sir, I don't think you understand that Jeheil is working off the information he's getting, perhaps you'd like to better inform him of the pirate and spanish situation in future just so his statements don't "Always piss you off" and better inform EVERY PLAYER of what is happening.

  5. Not totally sure this is necessary, really.

If anything I'd be tempted to suggest perhaps some particular days or times when we encourage people into Small Battles. They're available from anywhere, they're balanced, you still risk ship durability but after-battle repairs are free. The rewards are half normal but the ability to find fair fights back to back to back would make up for that.

I'm not going to pick a time/day because it doesn't interest me that much, but it seems like an obvious direction to take for someone wanting to organize some big and relatively fair battles. As far as I know there are no ship restrictions and you could bring 1st-3rd rates if you wanted (pretty sure "small" just means number of players required to start while "large" has a certain minimum count to start the fight).

But also, was noticing plenty of action around La Tortue last night. Dunno if that was a fluke or normal (I just got there) but that seems like the current "place to be".

A Random event would be an idea. Say you fight over a certain objective and get rewarded with like an upgrade and bonus XP+ gold than usual amount for normal PvP battles

  6. Dear Devs and Admins,

I have some sad news which i hope you already noticed but just to be sure im making this post about it. PvP 3 EU is almost always empty of players.

Lots and Lots of players made a switch to PvP 1 eu because there is more action going on (logical today (24-3-16) PvP 3 has 50 people online and PvP 1 is already on medium).

Yes i know the servers will be merged at one point, but im just wondering why not merge the server asap? lots of people are losing intrest in the game because PvP 3 is more a dead server then an alive one.

U cant organise port battles or nice pvp battles because most of the server is empty and the people that are online just wanna do their missions.

Ofcourse thats not the only reason people are losing intrest its also content but im hoping you guys are working hard on that!

    Yours Sincerly,

    A worried PvP 3 captain

    -Admiraal Mitholyn

They should just merge all three PvP servers, PvP2US is losing people daily.

As a Captain from PvP2, I can confirm this.

  7. I mean they failed to take parrot cay and inagua. really could care less.

Saint Marc was actually a great fight. Too bad Roberts never showed up. Probably too scared of sinking again.

    qT9f5Oo.jpg

Sadly not all members of SoB can be online as much as other players, or at the same time. Perhaps if more were on, there would be more credits and XP to be earnt by both sides. :)

  8. We do not have problems. You have problems.

France can't give you that fight.

What was the 25v23 fight at Fred? A loss because you chose not to use the third rates that Casgar pointed out.

  9. That is a quote of desperation. Now I know you're feeling it -- the same thing the pirates felt before they quit.

Sons of Britain encountered the pirates at Aves, realized they'd been outleveled, and went off to grind. 4 weeks of grinding later, you are finally ready, only now the pirates are gone and the French aren't up to the levels required to play your game. Whoops?

In desperation, you (and especially Roberts) want to taunt us into grinding levels. No doubt you will aim to capture ports rapidly in an effort to spur us on.

But most likely the problem is already set. You want us to grind up to a point where we can fight you? Okay, fine, let's say we do that. What are you going to do for the next 4 weeks while we run off and grind up like you did? Will you do the same thing the pirates did? Quit? Are we going to spend the next 4 weeks grinding up only to find out there's nobody to fight again, just like is happening to you, and just like already happened to the pirates? (Is that what happened to the U.S. as well? Where are they?)

It's bad game design really -- or more charitably it's a side effect of the place-holder port battle system -- but it's also you choosing to play in the manner you do rather than, well, fun stuff, like open sea PvP hunting.

I'm sure you and Roberts would say, "lol! That's why we're the best and you can't stop us!" but the pirates said that exact same thing. And then they got bored and quit.

We will set up outposts in free ports and gank your teammates and have a great time doing it, and we'll mostly do it in ships like Surprises and Snows (and maybe Trincs, because, you know, Trincs) and we will still be having fun while you guys are conducting your 15th PvT empty port battle and wondering why you even bothered to log on.

The reality is you have put yourself into a very boring position where the game simply may not be able to offer you the fun you want and I don't even know where to suggest you go look for it, other than to say "quit and come back in a month or two". You can PvT every port on the map, but learn something from the pirates: it's really not that fun and you will lose members over it and this game will end up with a few more negative Steam reviews, not from us, but from your own terminally bored members.

I don't know why I try really. The pirates didn't listen either. My whole experience with enemies in this game is one big long "I told you so".

Quote of desperation? No, I quoted that because I thought it'd be easier to understand how to solve your problems and you would stop your constant complaints about the British, and you still seem concrete about your position of just whining about it, rather than doing something productive.

The pirates are gone? Yes, they went to the french, or quit.

I disagree with your point about game design, I believe it's the player's fault, not the dev's. Arguably, there could be a restriction on how many players join a nation if it gets too populated and creates and imbalance, or a reward or such, for joining a smaller populated nation.

No, Neither i, or Roberts would say that. That's what the pirates said, not the British.

Feel free to conduct the same pvp operations as you did to the pirates, I feel confident that the rest of the players would like it, it seems that you had fun doing it to the pirates, and it would give the British some actual PvP

The reality is we haven't put ourselves in a boring position, you just think it is because:

"Everything's going south and you're going to say, this is it. This is how I end."

  10. You were outgunned in the port battle, how do you fix this?

"At some point, everything's gonna go south on you... everything's going to go south and you're going to say, this is it. This is how I end. Now you can either accept that, or you can get to work. That's all it is. You just begin. You do the math. You solve one problem... and you solve the next one... and then the next. And If you solve enough problems, you get to come home."

Complaining on the forums isn't going to help you, you need to start grinding. If you're too lazy for grinding the fleets, then the blame is on you, not other players.
