  1. You mean when we all jumped in a battle against you guys while you childishly flamed us and we beat you very badly? But then suddenly you didn't care about your ships?

If I can just remind you that you guys invented the ''run out the clock'' tactic at nippes pre-wipe, when you ran 2 nights in a row, which caused us to invent the ''Undercrew BR Spam'' tactic and rush the tower with 15+ first rates the 3rd night,

It's amazing that you're still crying over that too. You guys really are quite sad and I enjoyed myself immensely.  Your win seemed like more of a  cultural loss to me. Since you're so concerned about my ships I'll let you know I replaced that Cerberus about 20 seconds after the battle ended. Thanks for the concern, but I highly suggest you stick to role playing like you're in the actual Royal Navy instead of "flaming".

"Go back to CoD, kid" lol

  2. How dare thee besmirch the reputation of the Kings own men! I am sure they were simply preoccupied with hosting on deck tea and crumpet parties.

Heh, you shoulda seen what I had to say to them to get them to actually fight us AFTER the PB.

  3. Sorry, paying $40 for a game wont allow you to be as rude as you want. If you want be rude and attack and do all you want become pirate. This is a great game and we dont need here people who doesnt show respect for aother players. Ths is a great improvement patch.

Way to take what I said the complete wrong way.

  4. We are about to reach the 70 person mark, and finding it hard enough to manage, organize and supply the clan properly  (TS can become quiet interesting when you get than many people in one channel :/ )

I don't know how the hell you guys are organizing 250 people in this game with such limited clan mechanics implemented eg. no clans warehouse.  I do not envy your logistics.....

I believe 250 is a good number for a large clan, at this point in the game, if you want to expand it more i would split up into different clans.  (Battle and Trade/Craft) for example, or you could even go with TZ split.

Remember clans are only 2 things in this game at the moment a tag, and a clan chat box.

I would suggest it would help you a lot to actually split the clan.

When you're used to games, like EVE, where your organization is literally thousands of people, then a 250 limit is childs play in comparison. I don't think one group should be limited just because another cannot handle it.

  5. Kinda giving away there that you really are not. Every griefer I've ever met even questions the existence of "griefing"

Are you seriously going to go to semantics over griefing people? Trust me, there is power gaming and there is griefing. People who question dumb crap like that are either doing it as a justification for their actions or are genuinely dumb.

  6. I know from experience that there are way more griefers than you imagine.

As a griefer myself, I got this game because I loved Sid Meiers Pirates and Assassins Creed Black Flag. And I like old naval sail boats. While pissing other people off in an MMO sandbox is fun and funny, I mainly just want to sail pretty ships and shoot cannon balls at other pretty ships. If my ( and others ) intention were solely to grief, Id just play an F2P game.

Not everyone is a griefer, but some people are assholes.

  7. IMO, if you wanted to make Pirates something different, they should have been put in the game as something different from the very beginning. Now that it is a faction pretty much indistinguishable from any other, going back now may cause a lot of friction. Me personally, and only speaking for myself, am open to anything the devs might like to try. New experiences and stuff like that. However, what I cannot abide is players with a chip on their shoulder trying to shout down how Pirates should be just so that it fits in their own little world.

  8. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/2346-forum-and-sea-trials-rules/

It's clear more than a few folks need to read them, it is against the rules, and a perfect example of the sort of toxic behaviour, this and other online comminutes can do without.

Creating a virtual hugbox because some people lack any kind of thick skin for dealing with others certainly won't fix any kind of underlying issues of people who are professional victims.

  9. By taking some kind of misplaced moral high road and trying to squash dissent on what YOU personally think is offensive, you are claiming said monopoly. Get off your high horse and let people be. I'm sorry your panties got in a bunch but that's simply life.

  10. I think banning people, who paid $40 for a niche game, is a step in the wrong direction and sends a very wrong message. This kind of stuff must be dealt with I guess, especially because people like to whine over piracy like it's the return of the black plague, but flat out banning people from your game just because they saw the opportunity to get theirs is not how devs should deal with it. If you ask me, this shouldn't be an issue in the first place. I'll willingly admit I've done it to people, I've seen others do it a bunch. You put the mechanic in there and this is how people use it. At the very least if you're going to let people be hugboxing carebears, let pirates do it to each other. Everyone whines about how they have to be different from the other factions and here is the perfect chance.
