Monster battles could be fun if we could set formations before the battle started and the AI weren't as dogshit.

Maybe, for now the AI not fight in formations and not keep formations, almost every battle is big mess. Impossible recreate Tsushima or Jutland.

Unfortunately I have to disagree, again! Other than the 50 ship cap per side, DO NOT CAP BATTLES ANY LESS. Monster battles is the BEST PART OF THE GAME.

Just 1 vote for the other team. Actually, currently, all battles are rather balanced, some big ones, some little ones, some outnumbered ones, all pretty damn good.

Sorry, for me "monster battless" is bad and annoying, the worst part of the game.

The point still stands. Most CL hulls (especially early ones, the worst offender being the semi armoured hulls, which are based on a real CL which carried lots of casemate mains) are clearly designed to have casemate main guns, and the game not allowing them significantly cripples them. Honestly I don't understand how the devs could make such a mistake considering that casemate mains on CLs where a common thing even until the late 1920s.

Historical many protected and armoured cruisers have main guns in casemates.

For the latter suggestion, what defines a Light Cruiser is quite literally nothing more than the size of the ships guns. A CL has a maximum gun size of 6" according to history, while a CA has a maximum gun size of 8". Anything larger than 6" bumps the ship into being a CA by virtue of how large the hull would have to be to support anything larger, and same thing for the CA. The Deutchland-class aren't CA, but small BBs. They're literally called "Pocket Battleships".

To the former, a 5.9" gun still isn't as good as a 6" gun damage-wise and penetration-wise. (Despite weighing more)

Many light cruisers in pre-dreadhnout era have 8" amd 10" main guns.

So, according to the devs, this is normal? No cheat engines, no save editing, no nothing. I insist that taskforces should have a hard cap on the number of ships. My computer couldn't even run the battle.

I have same problems, no cheats. Never used cheats in this game

Interesting, i don't have any crashes or freezes

  7. Please more focus on ironclad era, more hulls, turrets (correct french turrets), authentic gun calibers..

And more important - torpedoes needs serious rework. Less accurate, no spamming.

Maybe add more scenarios start options - 1895, 1905? I love pre-dreadhnout ships and battles, hate torpedoes:)

  8. A few suggestions to improve the realism:
Weaken the destroyers of 1890 and 1900, reduce their size, resistance to damage and flooding. Destroyers of that time were not able to attack intact large warships on the high seas during a squadron battle, as a rule, they simply could not fight on the high seas, especially in rough seas.
To give later destroyers and cruisers the ability to fire torpedoes at selected areas and directions, and not just at a specific target - as has happened since the First World War.
Allow artillery and torpedo tubes to track the selected target without opening fire.
To enable artillery ships to fire at several different targets with the same caliber at the same time, including from different sides - as it happened in reality.
Shooting torpedoes between battleships is nonsense, in history such attempts were, of course, with zero result.
The message was written with the help of a google translator, please treat with understanding.
