  1. I meant to put another 0 on that, my bad, I've heard Americans really like those ships so I put it up on market. It is a Plaid Pilot snow, built early February. Its a good fighting ship, copper bottomed, If you wish to purchase this amazing ship please contact me in-game, username Toast. I can ofcourse up the price for this one of a kind collectors item.

  2. The solution could be as simple as another "battle" type in the missions menu.

     

    AI Battle.  Spawns all players on one side, all AI on the other, match BR, basically the same as the old Call reinforcements button did.

     

    To reduce farming well there is already a .5 XP multiplier, simply apply the same multiplier to gold, or if not difficult remove gold and ship loss entirely.

     

    That "sounds" easy, but could be harder than it sounds to implement.

    So long as I can invite 25 into a single raid type group i'm fine with that, but at the moment your proposal is only an idea, I'd like to see the mechanic reinstated until such time that alternate content is enabled, I'd like to play this game as mmo rather then single player game.

     

    Alternatively just make the ai fleets travel around 25 3rds, I'd be fine with that. There must be something to do when the population gets low or the population will get lower, and do so more quickly until the 350 we see turns into 300 or less.

  3. Server population is regularly 350, this mechanic offered something reliable to do at that time which could include everyone that wanted to be included. I don't really understand the argument for removing them without replacing them with something that can be done during low server population time. I hope they will get reinstated, when you have 25+ guys online at that time this was the only thing you can do which guaranteed group content for all involved. I'm sure I'll have lots of fun sailing around the entire Caribbean looking for the other 325 players though.

     

    edit: added group infront of content since of course you can all split up and do missions, single player game is fun?

  4. I don't support normal port capture rules for pirates. I would like to see pirates able to capture any ports contested within x period of RL days, this would encourage pirates to appear where nations are battling one another over ports. As a debuff they would not be able to capture any port besides those which fulfill that requirement or which were originally pirate ports. as a buff to them they have 2-3x timer on delivering flags to targets making them a more long range force. If a port was captured by pirates they have 2x time of time to recapture compared to a national contested port.

     

    So in this example USA captures Matanzas from spain, contested starts, ends at downtime, for 4 days pirates may attack this port.

    Pirates attack the port, but lose it next day. Pirates now have 8 days to reclaim that port.

  5. Personally, Id support only if we gets back the gulf of Mexico (including the islands) and north Cuba, and USA doesnt continue attacking or threatening spanish allies.

     

    In return we can reconquer the ports from the hands of the pirates near Mexico and west Cuba, doing so pirates will have several open fronts at the same time in far distant locations.

     

    As you have said, this is peace, not an alliance. So much distrust have raised this war at both sides. I personally think that the us actions near La Habana were of out of control hatred and desire for humiliation.

     

    Do you understand why the US nation might have a problem with this? You are losing the war, I think that is obvious, and to make peace you want the US to give you ports in exchange for what? Peace/neutrality? It is because of the distrust I'd like to leave no spanish in the gulf, so easy to backstab without ingame diplomacy mechanic.

  6. At least 1 full port map reset might happen in the future or maybe two. + 1 more on the release on the game. And we don't really know how the final conquest will look like. 

     

    TLDR - don't get to attached to ports.

     

    This is very disheartening to hear. How long until it is wiped? The US has pursued a long term strategic goal of securing the flank against GB so that we can just fight over one or two ports and generate open world pvp, as far as I know that is the entire point(well... resources too of course) of every single capture we have made and now that we are so close to it there may be a wipe to cancel all the (metaphorical) blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into it.

    You said something about investing a lot into port conquest - which most likely paid off with resources and tower damage. 

     

     

     

    Does this mean there will be no gold/item/ship wipes?

  7. I would not be devastated to see spanish capital moved somewhere else, perhaps the mechanic should be when no friendly ports within x distance along the same coast capital gets moved? The problem is with island capitals, not sure how to deal with that unless you make it just a radius or diameter but then that removes this ability for spanish atm.

Short summary: Battle starts around 4pm EST(9pm GMT?) 11(Spain)vs1(United States) with 1 Spanish Surprise tackling 1 American 3rd Rate outside the port, battle commences and a very short time later both the surprise and American 3rd enter battle. Spanish players trickle in, American Belle Poule and another 3rd join in the defence.

     

    We have taken the Parole of those Spanish officers who survived the fight, they await in the city with hopes of a diplomatic resolution so that they may return to their homeland. The well trained crew will be kept in a camp until peace occurs, of course we find some Americans talking with these crewmen to tell of the wonders of America, of democracy, and of freedom... time will tell if this has any effects.

  9. After port investments and land in battles are added into the game there will be a port reset. 

    We are thinking of making all ports except for capitals neutral, giving all nations an equal chance. Alternative solution is to allow setting port defence windows in clean uncaptured port by nation vote.

    Port investments will also slow down the conquest because to make flags you will have to build naval bases. No naval base - no flag. Naval base must be protected at all costs to be able to expand.

     

    If you wipe ports, what is the point of attacking any ports at the moment? Not only will all invested time and money in port battles be wasted but I doubt the change will change anything for Spain.
