Pretty big campaign bug

Hello, so I was in the middle of a campaign and decided I wanted to start a new one. Well when I got to the research tab (after starting the new campaign) the research options are duplicated. For example I have 2 of every single research category. I wasn't sure what happened so I tried making a new campaign (hoping it would reset) and now the research options are tripled. I have 3 of every research category. 

Edit: I fixed it by closing and reopening the game, however once in game if I try starting a new campaign it duplicates the research again. So what I'll have to do is start a new campaign then immediately close the game and start it back up.

Fixed the issue
