Nop.
Keep M above G
GM<0 = capsize
The ship in the example, is supposed to have a fully watertight main deck. In the real case, flooding would make the ship sunk.
At the curve, it would be seen as an abrupt curve ending for the flooding heeling angle.
you sir are right, i was trying to remember which was the larger of my two lectures in stability and you are right it was Gina who was bigger, so we don't want her on top...

However all of the above I expect would be a major amount of work and also be a larger drain on system processing. Yes I would like it, but if the game can move forward without it and have these options implimented later I would be happy to cope with the indicators until then
In the end i think this is it, as it will be for most wanted features, if its to much work, if its going to put a drain on the systems (remember everything is server side) then the dev's will most likely go for the simpler method because it works!

The graphic is to teach people to read the navigational lights. The red and green lights on the bow are not to be seen from the stern, which is a white light.
Which is 2 points abaft the beam, so you can tell if you are overtaken another vessel (coming up from a direction of MORE THEN 22.5 degrees abaft her beam)

+1 to that and when in gun mode remove pieces of sails that randomly appear on Lynx and block the view when firing.
Press escape and tick the box marked transparent sails.

I am no expert, but just an idea, why dont we ask the dev's nicely to remove the names for a while to see how it plays out and if people like the idea remove the target marker for a while (maybe only for certain game types?) just to, umm, you know.... Test it out?
