Okay, thanks a lot to both of you!

A few times now I've experienced crashes to desktop when making a 4K screenshot. I want to make sure that its source is not the game (cuz I'm expecting it to be sth about my vid card).
Happens mostly when doing the shots on ultra settings, btw. First two shots are no problem, yet after those the CTD kicks in.
Also, slightly off topic: where do the 4K screens go? Can't find 'm..

Anyhow, might your dad be able to pull real plans of the ship? Seeing that he worked there and that the ship has a fair chance of making it into the game...

What if the dev's would include historical naming as an gameplay option, whereby 'crappy' names are covered with an 'auto-generated' historical name, attaching it permanently to that player's ship? Not sure about the permanent part, though. You keep all the choices, yet to a much greater extent.
Could be another middle way. Keeping options open, eh. ^^

I feel the issue usually lies with those who want historical accuracy above all and beyond with little thought to others point of view. I don't want to stop those players arguing and getting their wishes granted, but lets have a little give and take

In that case you'd still be stuck with wanting to see historical ship names other then the standard ones (yet possibly seeing HMS **** you)... , or sailing (and seeing) only the standard ones...
I'd still vote for a historical and accurate course in this; this solution doesn't really cut the edge, IMO..

We do have the Batavia, the Delft (being build, I think) and the more or less historical Amsterdam.
So much for our naval pride. ^^ -
That's me ship, i'm telling yah..
Needs no explanation that I'd want this in the game..

So Dutch in build, German in name and service. She does remind me of the Batavia in many (obvious, I think) ways. The somewhat lower poopdeck on the Friedrich illustrates another evolution in shipbuilding.

As for other plans on this ship; can't seem to find more. Though I must admit I don't really know websites containing this kind of information.

I love your suggestions on the Dutch ships, keep it up! I'll try and post additional information if possible. (though the Aurora is indeed hard to find). I'll have a look at this beautiful ship tonight.
