I can verify that the OP joined the battle outside KPR and, using a British alt, started firing on other British ships engaged in the battle. I will post a screenshot if I can figure out how. 

Edit: I did not get a picture of him actually firing the guns due to menuevering for battle instead of taking screenshots, but here is a pictuere of him just before tacking through and shooting Shabby Ship with a broadside, blatantly. Anyone in the battle will agree with this description.
