There are "rules"...  but then there is the list of rules that are actually enforced. Luckily that is a much smaller set. May even be finite.

I've played online games for 22 years now. All I can say is... you made me agree with a pirate.

Online games from my generation ran on "Hate" (TM) . Most of my friends from previous games were officially "Enemies". Who else did I fight all the time? If you want to build up some, flash a global message with the name of killer and the captured/sank. It gives a surprising amount of intelligence once you know a players habits. That's a way to find fights. I realize this will fall on deaf ears. You are pioneering a new trail.

If fine woods were really "going away," then why didn't they just reimburse for them?

I know that they will have some incredibly important purpose very soon. (Because I just finished selling my stocks!)

Did this plan go away?  Not mentioned in recent plans. Since this is the most disruptive, would be nice to know if it is still being planned.I'd hate to see a bunch of gold upgrades and the contents of ship holds disappear some night, with a wave and a merry "we told you 3 months ago and haven't mentioned it since!"

Seems odd to design all these features... weight this and weight that, yet nothing mentioned about cargo weight affecting performance.

I'd like to remind Loco that (discussed in post #23), there was no official alliance between GB and Black. It was voted down in GB because of the Pirate insistence they be granted both Baracoa and Port Antonio.

 

From my remembrance, many of us who thought it was a good idea anyway (barring the sticking point), were simply acting as if the terms had been agreed to.

I agree it was working pretty well while the US was riding high. Once they were beaten down a bit and thrown into disarray as a large clan moved from US to Pirates, however, it was a bit concerning to us who you would decide to fight, after they had collapsed. I assume plans were being made in case things changed, and the de facto alliance fell apart.

I think a Vulna was getting at for GB players not to support CKA when they pull flags for port battles?
