Next content patch (september) we will move to the new regions system. There will be a reset in port ownership and many other changes will be added (potentially with trading too). Only ports will be reset that patch. Crafting and buildings reset might come later in october (due to changes in trading and resource distribution). We will post a separate detailed announcement on it shortly.
This means that current port conquest is becoming even more meaningless. To bring more fun to the OW and remove the potential fear from ganks to bring more players to pvp zones we would like to propose to run several interesting and potentially exciting tests starting with Duel week.
Duel week wacky patch.
All battles on the OW are 1v1. Whoever you attack, who ever attack you. Battle locks on start (except for capital waters), nobody is pulled and you have your 1v1. (missions and port battles are excluded from this rule).
