  1. Add some flag in battle and at camp. Propose different historical flags and a text editor for the name of the brigade / motto / battle honnor. Or allow to mod the flag on camp window. In battle use more generic flag. The flag is not important in terms of game but adds a lot of flavour :)

  2. There is a group chat, there is voip, there is a battle chat...

     

    I would understand zone chat, but actual flags are something so unlikely to see use that it makes no actual sense to add. In mose scenarios I would expect them to do more harm than good - sparking arguments over someone not taking notice of flags.

     

    As for historical accuracy - historically the battles happened for much longer, with a set hierarchy and chain of command, with people dedicated to communication and tactics. It's not really a great argument.

    The flag signals (like light signal) have always served and still serve at sea and not only in battle ,  it is so specific that I think the historical argument is valid.

  3. Have some signals (flag) to put on ship to have a sort of "zone communication". Allows to select wich nation can watch the flag. Define a series of simple commands.

     

    For exemple :

     

    "Attack"

     

    "Wait"

     

    "I want to chat"

     

    "Suivez moi"

     

    "Group on me" ...

  4. Allow the transfer of ships between the outposts . The transfered vessel act  as a ship AI ship between the two ports and can therefore be attacked . Authorize one transfer per day per port . The player must be in port in wich he want do that. The vessel transferred can be loaded. Players accept the risks or decide to escort their ships ...

    It would be nice than a player with a higher grade can invite one or more inferior grade for tp with him at his outpost. The higher is the grade the more it can bring with him. In history higher grade were squadron leader, so it's would be nice !

     

    Grade                          Can invit to TP at his Outpost

     

    Post capitain           1 ship <= Lieutenant                              

    Flag Capitain           1 ship <= Master & Co + 2 <= Lieutenant

    Commodore            1 ship <= Post Cap +2 ship <= Master & Co + 3 <= Lieutenant

    Rear Admiral           2 ship <= Commodore + 3 ship <= Post capitaine

    Vice Admiral            2 ship = Rear Admiral + 3 ship<= Commodore + 5 ship <= Post capitaine

    Admiral of the fleet  2 ship = Rear Admiral + 6 <  Rear Admiral

     

     

    A ship invited to TP can't invit other ship.

     

    A sort of system like this with time limitation for TP. For example for 1 grade TP / 24h

  6. I broke a mast of a mechant ship, since sometime i can't gain his cargo if i board before killing escort, i go to kill them... And when i came back to board the merchant, he had escaped !!! A bit frustrating.

     

    Secondly, most AI, demasted, turn too hardly...

     

    It's just little problem in a very good game :)
