[Captured by friendly player while disconnected]

I know this doesn't belong in the thread but I thought I would tell my story of how a friend dc'ed in a battle.

Ok so I was in my clans teamspeak and 7 of us were planning on joining a small battle, so we did that. The other 6 guys from my clan got placed on one team, and I got placed on the other team with some basic cutters and the AI "Blood" as usual. So I was there in my newly crafted renommee looking over at my friends cannons rolling, and cannonballs flying my way, as I hear a friendly captain in my teamspeak say, that they wont sink me. There I am in the middle of a battle with no reason to fire my cannons, so I figure I'll just tab out and wait for the battle timer to end. Suddenly in my teamspeak I hear that one of my fellow captains who happened to be on the other team disconnected, and I was asked to go capture his ship so he wouldn't lose it, and so I did. Now I was sitting next to him boarding him as I hear the roaring from cannons in the near distance, I turn my view and see my fellow AI "Blood" shooting at the ship I was boarding. Now I turn my view to my boarding session again, and I see that the ship was suddenly set on fire, in my panic I started disengaging, knowing that he couldn't put his ship into survival mode(before the patch). I manage to disengage and just as setting sails the ship goes into fire shock, and blows up right next to me, a millisecond later I blow up as well. When I explained what happened in the teamspeak I heard a lot of laughter, so overall good times.

I like the idea of pirates as the only nation being able to do this, and I really like the fight they are having between them, seems more realistic than them getting together and agreeing and voting on everything.

Please leave this with the people that can actually do something or at the very least acknowledge the bug, you are 'ironically' abusing the Tribunal system not me.

I must say that I really agree with Galileus here. You are making a tribunal on a player without any proof, so this is really the wrong forum. If you wanted to report a bug you would've used the correct forum, instead of shaming a player in public with absolutely no proof.

With all due respect.. anything East of Czech Republic has no economy.. so no business school nor financial minister can ever understand how a true economic performance is supposed to look like; moreorless implement some of these performances on an age of sail online game.

I think you fail to understand that during the age of sail the economics definetly didn't work as they do in most vestern countries today. Also you fail to understand that there is no "true economic performance", economics will always be based on opinions, and China is a great example on that you don't need the western economics to do really well.

Yeah he said:" Hoping that an entire group of developers will suddenly "see the light" is a false hope indeed.". While in reality this is one of the dev teams who listen the most to the community I have experienced. The game is still in early access and there's a lot to be worked on, and if the players doesn't like the economy and complain it will differently change. And for the first point, I assume that while the admins are slowly removing the port productions, the player productions will get boosted more and more, so that it wont just be a limited amount of resources per day. This is why I said no reasoning.

This subject has been hashed repeatedly.

 

Items/ships that are superior to the unpaid items/ships in the game will not happen.  Items/ships that are unique, though not better than their regular counterparts, and require real money will happen.

 

The Yacht is a prime example of this.  It's not markedly any better or worse than the cutter, but it is still a lot of fun and only available to certain people.

This is something i definetly wont mind, as long as what you get is purely cosmetics. Paying real money for gold or xp though is something I definetly don't want to see in the game.

[Some small steps to improve Clans]

Would love to see these changes in game, definetly the bank and shipyard. There should also be ranks for maybe a bank manager, and crafters if those do get added, so that they right persons have perms to the shipyard and clan bank.
