My main point was.. if you come across a wreck and you're in a rowboat you should be able to get something. It shouldn't be an all or nothing proposition. Wasn't really bitching about the rest.. The sail.. the search.. you're looking for a wreck, it should take a bit of time. Thanks for all the responses this has generated.

Just a thought.. after spending a ton of time on the open seas I finally found my shipwreck.. I tried to loot.. couldn't cause overloaded.. so I got rid of everything in the boat.. Tried to loot.. overloaded.. couldn't do it. The Problem I have with it is I couldn't cherry pick the booty.. I should be able to at least grab stuff off the wreck until I reach capacity.. then be forced to leave the rest of it.
Lot of time wasted.. (had fun til the end) running down the site.. Ejecting stuff off the ship to make room.. then couldn't take ANY of the loot. So in essence I lost all my salt and fish.. then lost out on the loot that could fit.
Hopefully you can fix this in the sense you really should be able to get part of the loot.. not be out everything and then come here to bitch about it. Enjoying my return.. and relearning of the game.. ciao.

To be honest the toxicity in brit nation chat just melted away since certain members of AUSEZ left which has mad it a much nicer place.
I had a long chat with Fasti the other night and tried to find out why the move into perspective and learned a couple of things.
The fall out with the British Council happened over a period of time and was a result of various things culaminating with the deal or proposed deal AUSEZ had with Sorry regards to bay of Mexico.
I won't go into detail as I may not know all the component parts but suffice to say the British council heard about this deal not from the AUSEZ themselves but via another player, AUSEZ were called to task about it and got hot under the collar because as they see it they were being ridiculed over it especially by the aforementioned player.
I dare say that if the AUSEZ leadership had come to the council and said to the council that we have this in the melting pot before the aforementioned player spilled the beans then everything might have been received a bit better but instead tempers flared this resulted in some very colourful language Un repeatable but I will leave that up to your imagination.
This was the straw that broke the camels back.
With reference to the AUSEZ claim about not getting enough pvp I am sorry that really just does not wash with me how long have we been fighting Spain in the Conttoy Muegres area and you only had to buy a flag in the Corrientes area and you would get all the pvp you ever wanted.
It's amazing how much this sounds like what was said about SORRY after they left the USA and went pirate. A different clan, a different nation.. yet the same story.

Those are Tribunal cases. Report them with enough evidence in the Tribunal.
Ships in danger of being captured were not fired upon back then, so it would be unrealistic to allow it here.
Mers El Kebir was a war crime of the worst sort and those ships weren't in immediate danger of being "captured". It was also not a consensual attack, in your scenario you would definitely have consent from your friendly player to sink his ship to prevent a capture.
And yet you have a tool for this: Ram him hard. He turns off survival and sinks. As much as I object to all aspects of this, it's an option you have that will not really punish you through game mechanics.
I have been attacked and tried this method in an empty trader... I finally was boarded 3/4 full of water and my survival automatically switched on and drained the water out. I could not shut it off.. I've heard of this happening to others... ANYONE know if there is a way around this? (besides don't get boarded)

'Known Alts' ...................................I can hear alt accounts around the globe going silent and being remade as we speak. I don't have any(or do I?) If you see a charactor named... NotBarbarrossa'sAlt it's a good bet it's not my alt.. and I'm quite positive that dude will be one helpful Angel to all.. a role model for Political Correctness in fact.
All joking aside I'm thinking if someone gets banned for trolling National Chat and trying to recruit in National Chat for another faction I really don't want him on my side to begin with..

I would suggest it applies to private chat as well since it is logged just the same, which of course adds the possibility of counter-espionage in which a player is tricked into revealing her true allegiance through some private chat enticement.
The rule seems simple: if you are spy or alt setup to abuse mechanics, don't admit it to anyone.
If that is the way it is then that is fine.. I just want it clarified..
I mean I totally understand banning the alts trolling in National Chat.. but if it's more than that then it's kinda ridiculous in my opinion... and then I will just GIVE them my TS and we can actually talk without this BS hanging overhead.

Open admission of being an alt, enticing to join another nation, trolling national chat to disrupt it is from now on prohibited.
If you are a spy - stay silent. If you admit you are an alt of another nation your alt will be permanently banned from chat.
Report open alts by using the report function.
Is this specifically directed at National chat.. or does it include one on one private chats also?
Are they taking this to an absolute level or are their areas that alts can still roam?

Back to discussing the port battles? Although outnumbered and outgunned in the two other fights gotta say I had fun even though it was literally raining cannon balls.

What happened to Vicious' claimed amount of 90, and the claim that only Rachira and Crayon didn't turn pirate? And if Sorry only has 60ish, when multiple clans formed into sorry, that means that not even close to all the stars people joined.
Think about it mate.. we formed a clan.. then reformed to bring down the outrage of the SS tag 'Skulls and Stars'.. we took a vote and went with SORRY so as not to offend.. we are quite politically correct over here.
As you reform a clan multiple times it takes awhile to gather the troops.(real life gets in the way) But the point of only a couple not turning pirates is pretty close.. We actually discussed the change a couple days and the truth is it was damn near unanimous.

hey the american victories weren't in empty port battles.. I myself was in the defense of Jobe.. far from being an empty port battle is was 25 americans VS ....................... 1 pirate.
and in the defense of Reo Seco the pirates QUADRUPLED our numbers.. it was 4 v 25..
I do believe all of this was going on while the Large Fleet Port Defense was going down in Ays. For a pirate clan of 60ish people I do believe we did rather well.

Truly I have no desire to have my opinion be more valued than anyone else's, and I can't think of anyone that has approached me in the council setting who has made me feel that they are more important than I am. Most of the biggest US ego trippers are no longer a part of the US nation.

So now we're stars and skulls.. Skull since we are pirates and stars in reference to our history. What's funny is nobody in the clan was saying anything about SS, it takes somebody who's jealous and a pot stirring crybaby to grasp at straws and try to find something else to whine about. None of us were talking pirates until the hand wringing crowd cried about our (in there words) ai exploit. Kinda sad actually.. I mean it's not like they didn't have the same option.
So you wanted content? We're here to provide it.
It's funny, I thought this was a game.. that's how I'm treating it anyway. Hey, at least I'm enjoying myself.

Honestly don't see how a trolling lead statement to a thread doesn't get it closed out right away. HELL the TITLE of the thread should have gotten it closed ASAP..
Don't know if anyone has noticed but, there has been a movement on the steam reviews of the game. Steam reviews are on the incline due to some "informed" people on global. So lets keep the momentum moving the right direction. So far we have raised it from 37% to 42% positive in the recent reviews section. 'Keep up the good work!'
THAT is the sanitized De-Troll-ifide way it should have been put up.
Personally as a member of SORRY who has a good review up of this game it kinda pisses me off that admin will delete certain people and freeze a thread... but let's something that started with a POST like this go on for days.. as long as it's not from a certain element of the game. Today was the first time I've seen this thread.. don't come here as often as before.. after reading the posts/responses I can just imagine Vicious getting banned for doing anything even close to this... Not to say if Lord Vicious does something ban worthy that he shouldn't get banned from the forum.. But banning a man for One Reply to a question asked on a thread.. and Letting King of Crowns run wild and free on this thread with no repercussions for post after post of trolling...
