France and Britain - classic love/hate relationship that's been going on for a thousand years
You know what Clemenceau used to say: "England is a French colony that ended up badly".
To which Churchill replied "England is the only French colony that ended up nicely."

Excellent. ça fait plaisir de lire un style plus rafraîchissant que les chamailleries félines des dernières semaines. Merci beaucoup.

In which way posting about something denies someone else from having a discussion from another point of view?
If you want to bring up something, just do it. Just like everyone else does?
Of course you'd say that.
Well. I'm sure it's very easy to have a discussion with someone with:
"Friendly? you put shitty timer on your ports, you are locking the game, their is any fun in this war right now."
"Really? A Spanish player is telling another nation that something "doesn't shine any good light on you." That's like a thief complaining that someone else is littering."
"Haha, no. The French are driven by two things, and neither of them would fit with an attack on the US."
And a couple pages of that kind of posts in between.
10 posts. 10. Before this thread get derailed for 13 pages. That's not a proper way to "discuss". Imagine 2 people talking to each other and 25 people shouting 2 meters from here.

Horail said it. Exactly my point. Playing with words to allow yourself to copy-paste the same debate again is trolling. And it clearly wasn't the op ambition when he opened this thread. Does that mean you don't have the right to talk about it? Of course not. You're free to write whatever you want. But by taking hostage every single thread about this war you're denying everyone else from having a discussion from another point of view. No one said there wasn't any problem with pvp right now. But that does not mean it's the only thing we should care about in the game.
La liberté des uns s'arrête là où commence celle des autres.

Henry D'Esterre is right. Timer has nothing to do with this
THREAD.
Why? Because there are a thousand threads about port timers already. And this thread wasn't started to argue about port timer but to thanks opponents FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE OP for the fun he had the last couple of weeks. That's what this thread's supposed to be about. Not more arguing about port timers and lack of balance in the gameplay. There are no good guys here. Everyone decided to keep vomiting barely hidden insults and sterile debates, which was precisely what the OP wanted to forget, just for this thread. It pains me that people find pleasure in seeking fights in every situation possible, especially if no fights have been started before hand. Is it possible for someone to share an opinion and a point of view without people reminding him that he can't say GG because pvp was a mess? In a fucking early access STILL IN DEVELOPMENT game? I swear to god, wether it is here or on Star Citizen forums it's always the same, people feel the need to complain everywhere, spam the forum with it, even when specific threads have been made about it, because, you know. People don't have the right to be happy about something when there is a problem. It's way more important than everything they think was good in their experience,

We British fight for money. You Danes fight for justice and honour.
You know what they say. A man always fights for what he lacks the most.
I'm glad to see the mighty Brits followed the example of a certain French corsair...

Yeah that's exactly my feeling too. That's why I compared her to the P1000. It was not a very good ship, in fact it had reached the very limit her sails could handle. There was another giant like that was at sea during this era, it was the Turkish Mahmudiye

This seems appropriate:
We should have the Valmy in game... That would be, like, the P1000 Ratte of Naval Action

Hello,
I apologise if this has been posted before, but I haven't seen it in this list: here are the plans for the 50 gun French Frigate Forte (launched in 1794:
[WIP] Leeuwenhorst/Edam, 56-gun Dutch SOL (1742)
