  1. IA ships are too strong actually, they never miss their shot, you don't have any chance of mistakes, 1 mistake, you sink like a shit.

Even with a SNOW against a CUTTER, you'll finish the battle with only 25% of your full health and 5 leaks (Minimum)

Sorry but ... ITS NOT REALISTIC !! For a simulation, it's shit ...

  2. Hi !! While thinking about some things that could be fun for the game, i wondered about a fleet menu where you can manage your hired ships.

After all, the ships you hire are on your commands, so you have the right to choose what gun they should use (Like a real fleet commander, after all, it's YOUR fleet and it have to obey to your orders)

The gun fact is only an example, then i'll dig a little more deeply with this !!

At the current state the fleet is just a tool to be a little more stronger in battles, they give you a nice pull for the first levels ~

But, the AI fleet could be more than this, after all ... In the 17 and 18th century, the nations were building armed ships to defend merchants ships and attack the other country ones, so why not add the option to add merchant ships to your fleet ? (Merchant ship you could manage, put ressources on and then let them follow you)

For example, you get a frigate (Your ship) and then 1 merchant ship then 1 other ship to close the escort.

I think the actual fleet content is really bad, and it's incomplete.

  3. This post is really great !! I'm a new player in this game and i always run away from battles i'm not sure to win, ONLY because i don't want to lose my ship.

So, the game don't actually give me a challenge, because the loss of my ship i worked on will be too much painful (If i lose it, i stop play, that's cleared now)

I think the permaship death is only an easy way to build an economy, there is other answers to make an economy viable (The MMORPG DOFUS is the PERFECT example).

This game is simply the most complex in terms of economy, and crafting (And you lose nothing if you die, there is no proper ressources or money loss, but the economy is the most active thing in this game)

  4. I personally farmed more than 150K gold yesterday with my MERCHANT BRIG, just do some EXCHANGE with ports, watch the price, buy ressources, and sell it really expensive to another one ~

And i'm not even RANK 2 yet (Just got a cutter and my merchant brig, nothing else) (190K gold in stock ... Seriously ... Why can't we buy XP with gold ? :P)
