  1. Ook ik ben een zeer tevreden lid van VOC. Gewoon lekker nederlands en geen verplichtingen. lekker lol met mensen en natuurlijk een gezonde dosis PvP. voor nederlanders die nog geen clan hebben zoals mijn grote vriend Jacob van heemskerck aangeeft is dit zeker het waard om eens te komen buurten ;)

     

    ik wil de leiders van de clan bedanken voor hun gastvrijheid en het delen van hun kennis over de game.. voor mij is deze clan een blijvertje.

  2. True, there should eventually be a more fleshed out mechanic for going pirate, but this is the first step. You'd be surprised at how putting even a small, and what some would say insignificant, barrier to doing something may actually deter them. 

    You see, by having pirates in a list of Nations to start off as you 

    1. Begin to propagate the idea that Pirates are/should be a nation, which they shouldn't
    2. You make it seem as if the idea of starting/playing pirate has no sense of consequence.

    By making people go out of their way to become pirate, you add that sense of weight in decision. That concept that "Hey, I am doing something that is 'wrong/illegal' and there will be consequences for it," will actually make people stop and consider the decision of making a conscious jump from Nation to Pirate, especially if there is some sort of disclaimer that comes up before attacking a friendly; "You are about to attack an ally of the Crown! Doing so will brand you a PIRATE! Do you wish to proceed?" 

     i agree. in Naval Action pirates are now a fantasy nation. There is no piracy if u fight for ur nation..its just another nation called pirates. for me there is no appeal to play pirates becuz there is no real pirate feeling in being pirate atm.

     

    They should change this indeed. But pirate players should keep their xp/ships if they are forced 2 play another nation.

  3. People voted for 1 only, because it adds more meaning to choosing a nation and prevents too much piracy/spying.

    i totally agree with this one. why should u want 2 characters? just choose the Nation u have the most feeling with and try that for a bit. if it doesnt suit u try another. the grind for the santi is long enuff as it is  :lol:  ;)

I cant visualize a structure in how that might work..having ur own industry.. how can the devs build a decent trade structure on that system? i think we want 2 much...it's called naval action..not industrial action. i much rather have a shipyard where u can admire your ships and have some nice interfaces. But each player having his own industry buildings? did sea captains at that century all had mines and such? 

     

    a system like port royal perhaps?  i dont know... :huh:

  5. Hello All,

     

    im fairly new to the game. i voted for Land in port battles because  it is better for strategy in battles and it brings more depth in the game. 2nd choice would defo be the exploration missions etc. Keep up the good work. 

     

    If u guys go Early Acces i would recommend  doing something on the very basic interface..nice interface would sell better :D  Love the game and i hope 2 see u guys on the high seas soon :rolleyes:
