Moreover, it could be a key for dev's to improve trader's gameplay in the game, for example, by giving galeons a huge capacity to transport goods and commodities.

Biggest galeons were able to challenge frigates of the 18th century. Some of the biggest spain and portugese galeons had around 20 cannons per side, and even sometimes more (spanish armada was coming back to Europe with gold, and with very impressive vessels...) I don't see why it couldn't match witht the current gameplay.
The only unrealistic thing to do is to put 18th century cannons in galeons. But i think it could enhance the available ships a lot, and add some nice new gameplay, and alternative to line vessels.

I know that galeons can't challenge with 18th century's frigates or line vessels. However, it could be nice traders or light-military ships i think.
Play these ships would be more "esthetic" than to challenge modern military ships like trincomalee or victory.

Hello devs and captains,
I know the game is related to the beautiful age of sails which is essentially the 18th century. However, i think it would be realistic and nice to put one or two ships from another age of great sailing, which is the age of the beginning of exploration : 16th centuries.
That's why i think it would be very nice to play some ships like galeons, related to the first great naval discoveries made by european nations (Colomb in 1492, Jacques Cartier , Vasco de Gama etc...)
Moreover, their ships had some weapons, cannons to defend themselves, which enables to adapt them to the game's gameplay.
Best regards

Hello everyone,
I have a suggestion : It would be nice to change the way ships sink for more realism during battles.
I have seen, as all players, that ships always sink according to the same way : they keep a perfect vertical position while they are sinking. That's why i suggest to change the way ships sink by making them leaning while they sink. That could improve game's realism a lot.
Best regards

Spanish Galeon "Neptune"
in Ships of the line
Posted · Edited by Kimball
Hello ,
As i've said in my topic posted in "suggestions" forum : http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/6801-put-some-ships-from-16th-and-17th-centuries/
It would be nice to add some ships from 16th and 17th centuries, to enable players to play ships like galeons, which were famous ships from the beginning of the age of sail.
That's why i present the following ship : Neptune , replica of a former spanish galeon .
Info :
Name: Il Galeone Neptune
Builder: Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia
Launched: 1986
Homeport:
Genoa, Italy
General characteristics
Tonnage: 1500 tons
Length: 65 m Beam: 16.40 m
Draft: 2.2 m
Propulsion: Full-rigged ship
Speed: 5 knots (9.3 km/h; 5.8 mph)
I have chosen this ship for it well represents the line of a galeon of the 17th century, even it's a replica.
Here there a photo of the ship.

It would be nice to add also a famous galeon of an explorer of the 16th century.
