  1. Arrrg! When boarding another ship, you must take the following steps:

     

    1 - Give the command "Prepare to board!!"

     

    2 - Be sure while crossing over to the other ship, you are firing your blunderbuss first.

     

    3 - Draw your swords and begin to take no prisoners

     

    4 - Commandeer the ship and make the Captain walk the plank!!

     

     

    The ship is ours!! Arrrrrrrg!!

  3. the developers have gone to great lengths to make navel action as real as possible. i have a complaint about the amount of

    cannon smoke,this is a game but i am unaware that masts can be replaced at sea, if they can be allowed in the game why can the

    density of cannon smoke not be reduced to a level that allows the gunners visual of ranging shots, this is a very frustraiting feature

    of a very enjoyable game. thank you for your time.

     

    Have you ever seen a single cannon fire in real life?

     

    I have, they put out a lot of smoke. Imagine 20 - 70 cannons going off at the same time side by side. You aren't going to see a lot of anything but smoke. The NA developers did an awesome job in my opinion with the realism of the cannons. This should not be changed. It also adds the the risk vs reward factor. You risk shooting your cannons with the possibility of an opposing vessel taking the advantage of you, or the reward of a critical hit.

     

    Do not change the smoke, it is spot on.

  5. Ahoy Sailors!!

     

    I will be streaming Naval Action today on Twitch from 16:00 - 18:00 +5GMT and then again at 20:00 - 22:00 +5GMT. Be sure to check it out and follow me for more stream times.   6. I could see this being semi-useful for PvP. Not sure if it would be worthy of it's own sub-forum though. Why not just make a Recruitment section in the forums?? That would take up less space than one for each nation.

     

    Thread Example: (Pirate)Dread Pirate Roberts Crew is now looking for Recruits!!

     

    This is how I would post. Just make more sense to do it like that. Just put your Nation in (parenthesis). Easy Peasy.

  7. You can't exactly give people a sizable ship like that for free, and without durabilities. That would be abused to no end. The yacht is different, it's small and carries few guns. A larger "reward" ship could be a game breaker.

     

    Not necessarily. Like I said, it was an idea. it doesn't have to be something that size.

    Focus on adding ships that is actually needed. lots of different Merchantships, more different ships of the line and so on.

     

    See, had you read the topic of the post you would've read "Alpha Reward" meaning just for those of us who are playing Alpha. I'm not suggesting to add 20 famous pirate ships. Just wanted to know if it as possible to give the alpha testers a REAL pirate ship. Is that too much to ask? As far as the others ships go, I'd love to see marchent ships and other vessels. But then again, this is why this post is merely a suggestion.

  9. I think the reward Yacht is a decent ship. However, it would be very cool if we got a well known pirate ship. Perhaps something like the Queen Anne's Revenge. Doesn't have to be that specific ship, but it would be kinda cool. Is there any ideas for bringing famous pirate ships to Naval Action??

  10. I think it should be more realistic when it comes to healing vs severe injury. If a crewman is hit with a canonball or ship debris, he needs to lose a limb, therefore hindering his output to the rest of the crew and ship. They way you fix a severely wounded or dead crewman, should be by making way to port and getting a replacement crewman.
