  1. Olav, plz really plz don't answer me if you are not admin. Please...

You wont get an answer out of admin till the patch is ready. They always go slient until the big patch is done.

As to your original question, admins statement is clear if you can understand English clearly. Admin have said in the OP they are only looking at doing a port reset, when the production buildings & the new combat map engine are in game. The earliest that the combat map engine will be available is next month, so even the port wipe won't be until then. Worry about you crafting resources then, tbh I kind of expect them to also do a resource wipe as well but they won't know if they need to do one until nearer the time i.e. in at least a month.

  2. Everyone here realizes that by removing the Spanish capital from Cuba, then you only put the next closest enemy to the US further away.......meaning more ports for the US to capture uncontested, meaning more resources for US, and creating a snowball effect that would make the US even more powerful.

True moving the Spanish Capital alone, might not be enough. Probably need to move the British Capital to be say on South West side of Cuba when the map is next reset, along with moving one of the other nations to an island around Honduras / Nicaragua / Costa Rica; but as a short term moving the Spanish Capital would fix their newbies starting area being a death trap.

  3. How is it fear mongering? More people seem to be more interested in making this game more like EVE and POTBS than letting the developers make something unique.

As far as moving the Capital, it will not make a difference if the Spanish faction player base is too small and remains unorganized.

It will be like reorganizing the deck chairs on the titanic.

Honestly even if the Spanish player base was the size of the British, if they keep acting as disorganised as they seem to be they would probably be in a similar mess.

Their Capital really does need moving as to try and hold Cuba would require good coordination and that's not going to suddenly going to appear overnight. Moving them to Mexico would be the best bet given how far away it is from any other Capital, they should be able to hold on to it.

  4. Diplomacy needs to be something that every player of a nation votes on (with at least 1 weeks play time in that nation to stop nation switchers). It should be something that is not done by automatic switches, but also something that should have the active involvement of the whole nation(s).

Its a long way off though, need a lot of other things first notably the Port UI being able to handle the info screens etc, which might be coming next patch.

  5. The current production system is a place holder, 'Soon' it will be removed and all production resources will be player created.

Its the reason why the massive swings in resource amounts as the devs are trying to find the correct levels for the production buildings once they come in. Also its probably the reason for the massive increase in mission gold as when the new system comes in they will probably do a resource wipe in order to get data on it from a blank slate, so they are probably trying to get data on mission gold before all gold gets wiped. See this post where the dev's explain the current swings -
