  1. Thanks all for reading my review and giving your thoughts on the matter. I'm still new to the game and all my thoughts/ideas were vague and I didn't put much thought into them when it came to thinking about the state of the economy and sticking to realism. That being said, I think that my ideas wouldn't quite affect the economy THAT much especially if my ideas were to attract new players. New players means more buyers. More buyers means an increase in demand regardless of my ideas hitting the game. As for the realism thing. We aswell as the devs can't forget that at the end of the day, this is a game. An online game. Realism is fine, but too much realism causing you to hold your own game back on development is extremely bad. The real world isn't perfect, nor was it in the 18th century. I dare say one of the main reasons why we play games, is to escape real life and have some fun on a new digital level in ways we couldn't possibly do in real life. I truly believe the devs should keep this in mind when developing the game. I appreciate sticking to realism when it comes the look and feel of a game. For example when I play a shooter and it doesn't take many shots to kill another player...Headshots being a 1 shot kill. I can appreciate "realism" like that. In games like Naval Action, having wind mechanics and nations hostile towards other nations. Your ship taking damage and eventually beginning to take on water indicating its near kicking the bucket. I can appreciate realism like this too. But my point still retains... Realism is good, it will help us to feel more emmersive. But too much to the point where it stunts the growth of the game in terms of new content would be bad and not in anyway good for the game. This game is online, therefore its expected to get loads of new content over a certain duration of time unlike console games or just single player games, that get a couple dlc expansions and that's it. Or some games that don't even get that much because they are single player and a sequel may or may not come in the next coming years. I'd hate to see this game continue losing even more in its player base because the devs want to stick to realism and not realize the bigger picture. The bigger picture being "Realism is cool...But my players don't want to play a game of real life they want to play just a game".
  2. So I've been playing this game for a couple weeks now and I have to say its a pretty good game! I loved playing naval games like Pirates of the Caribbean Online growing up and I absolutely loved to death AC: Black Flag! This game reminds me so much of both! The combat is great and realistic and the open world is vast and beautiful! That being said, I think there are quite a few things that would spice this game up and make it alot more fun...And attract new naval warfare hungry players! So shall we get started on my list?... More AI ships: I think this would really help to flesh the game out. The open world is huge, but I feel like its dead and I'm the only one on the planet! Massive AI Fleets in lower rated ship brackets: I've seen quite few of these massive Ai Santisimas with 24 large ships in their fleet. But why just the 1st rate ship of the lines? Why not other ratings like 6th and 5th ai massive fleets? That way everyone can hop onto the train and have fun even if they don't have a ship of the line! Ship Customization/Cosmetics: Ok so this idea is a big one for me. One thing that every successful online game has that makes it so addicting and successful, is giving the players the ability to customize their appearances and look unique! In PoTCO, you were able to customize the appearance of your entire ship. The sails color, emblems on the sails and even the ship itself with different colors and textures! In AC: Black Flag, we could put different Bow Figures on our ship. All of this really let us stand out and look unique! They allowed us to place our mark on our avatars and that's a good thing I think this game would greatly benefit from! Now lets get to the meat and potatoes! 😊😐😦😠😈 Possible content I'd like to see! Battlegrounds: The ability to que up for something and participate in a massive battle with other players. It's an online game, we need to be able to compete against or with eachother in a fixed environment! Possible types of battlegrounds? How about this! 😈 Survival mode: You and friends vs an endless army of AI ships! The more you sink the better the reward you get when you finally become fish food! When you finally do sink to davy jones locker, you still have your ship when you teleport back into open world. 😈 Deathmatch: You and your nation can que and participate in a deathmatch with another nation! 😈WWIII Deathmatch: You and your nation vs whom? THE ENTIRE WORLD MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!💀 And last but not least....The final thing I think this games community would really like to see.... Rare Trader Fleets: These rare fleets would function similar to the royal navy fleets that would appear every now and then in PoTCO open world. Every so often throughout the day - maybe once or twice - a rare, massive trader fleet will appear in the open ocean. These fleets will have rare items and resources in their hold. Or just alot of junk to vendor at a port for alot of gold. Nonethless, making it worthwhile for any captain to wanna try and take on the massive fleet! Like Mr. Gibbs liked to say in PoTC: Take what you can! Give nothing back! Anyways, so this is it for me...I think these ideas would be greatly appreciated and would really help to make the game alot more fun overall and bring in new players! More content can't go wrong! I hope you guys consider my ideas, and I hope everyone else likes them! Thanks for reading!
