Here's an artist's depiction from 1779, which shows Victory to have been payed with a yellow-brown paint above the wales 

Pink royale pink is the historical pink. But the original victory did not have stripes and ours wont have stripes too. Those paintings of the original victory paint are in the National Maritime Museum.
