Naval Action Craft

Recommended Posts

I liked the original design more (the 'graphical' one). I could easily see what kind of blueprints could drop if i crafted a ship (for example a frigate) and which level, from top to bottom. Now i have to check each box, in alphabetical order, and which has the name 'frigate' in them. I understand this design is easier for updates (better website management), but it's a lot harder for the user to get the wanted info quickly (for me at least).

I have to agree. I'm glad to have the data either way, but the hierarchy tree was a lot easier to interpret at a glance.

Perhaps the compromise to allow you to dynamically build it from the API data and not have to fuss with the graphical view and figuring out which lines go where vs. having more of a what do I get from what is...

Leave it in the new 'box' format you have now.  But....

1.  Change the label to be the Ship name only, eg  Constitution Blueprint now just becomes Constitution

2.  Leave the existing stuff inside the box that has a label 'Discovered by:' with the existing entries Trincomolee 5%, BellePoule 1%

3.  Add another section inside the box that has a label 'Leads to:' with entries 3rd Rate 5%, Bellona 1%

Cover's best of both worlds.

I think what he was looking for was something dynamic that he didn't have to draw relationships and change them every time the crafting paths changed or they added new ships.

The one I linked was the only one from the google visualization tools that would work.  The org chart one doesn't do multiple relationships currently unfortunately.

Today's patch modified the third rate needs in carriages :

772456Client2016052514435840cr.png

Craft hours needed for all the parts : 2370

For the ship it remains the same : 1465

Xp earned for the parts : 1087

for the ship ( same as before ) : 3512

Total XP : 4599

Total LH's : 3835

changed

On the off chance nobody else has reported it: The Indiaman requirements appear to be missing the required planks.

fixed

Also any suggestions are welcome :)

First, good sir, excellent job! Very useful and used by many!

I do have a map suggestion. Are you able to screen capture daily activity? Meaning can you add a button like the +/- zoom button that will allow us to review previous days? So far the best I've started doing is a simple animated gif of every couple days, but would love to use the map feature of zooming in and clicking on each port. And when clicking on each port, it would be nice to see in the info the date of last capture and previous LP. Maybe have a button in upper right corner for last 5 days or so...?

I'm a fan of the old tree to, it was easier to see what you need to craft for blueprint X.

But i also would like to thank you for the work and effort you're putting into this project, i really appreciate it.

Does anyone know with the most recent change to crafting, does making a higher quality ship increase your chances of a BP drop over the standard percentages (shown in Arsilon's post above)?  I know they used to, but not sure if they still do.  If the chances of getting a Constitution drop is 5% from crafting a Trinc no matter if you put zero crafting notes into it or 4, I'd hate to be pissing crafting notes away.  Thanks.

It has been confirmed (multiple times?) by devs that craft level and quality of ships do increase the drop chance.

@ Sir Scott ...... Very NICE (well done!) -- but can you color code the lines to represent the 1% chancers and the 5% chancers separately?

or is that the difference between the fat lines and the skinny lines?

Yes, fat lines are 5% and skinny lines are 1%
