Blue Prints of Ships Already in Game

Recommended Posts

Can we have a pinned thread of blueprints for ships that have made it into the game for easy access and viewing for curious people who want to see what the ship plans for these ships look like?

Those are from google, so please check before using. For my unschooled eye they look acceptable:

HMS Bellona, Royal Navy 3rd rate SoL

Lynx, US privateer / letter of marque (this is the plan for the Lynx refitted by the Brits as HMS Mosquidobit)

Well, it was a quick google image search and it says: Plans for the Mosquitobit, the name under which the Lynx served in the RN. According to wikipedia (I know, I know) the RN mounted 8 carronades and 2 guns while the original version featured 6 guns, but you know...wiki

It can also be that you wrote your post before my edit applied.

The Unité you posted is the Unité/Gracieuse of 1786, not our Surprise/Unité.

This is the plan for the in-game ship:

Nice, ok, that is what I was looking for but could only find this:  http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/82972.html

I corrected my post.

Renommée as captured:

And after a rebuild:

Complete sheer plan for Slade´s Coventry-class (Cerberus)

By the way, why does the ingame Cerberus have a french style transom (after the early 1760s)?

Should look more like this imo:

No problem, that´s what the community is for :)

And here´s the Rattlesnake ( to be added):

http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/84323.html

Makes you kind of wonder how the hell they worked those 4-pounders under the Quarterdeck and Forecastle, there´s just 4 feet of headroom.

Edit:

complete sheer for the Trinc and Bellona:

So what is the difference between the sheer and what I currently have?  I mean I see that it doesn't have the insides/ladders, but what do I currently have for the Leda Class if it isn't the sheer?

You have the inboard profile. The sheer usually shows much more detail (position of the whales, quarter galleries etc) and the most important part of the whole draught, the body plan.

A bit off-topic, sorry for that, Prater :)

A plan like this would be more than sufficient to build a ship - or a 3D model for NA :P - including the masts and spars, if you know the length between perpendiculars (the straight lines at the bow and stern):

This is the official draught for the Seine by Forfait, by the way.
