Hello, i wanna know before i buy this wonderful game if i can play.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.151230-0600)

Processor: Intel® Core i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.9GHz

Memory: 4096MB RAM

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6450

Display Memory: 2798 MB

Thanks very much.

Although your GPU does support DX11 and shader model 5, I doubt you will have enjoyable FPS even on lowest settings.

TheMarathaEmpire, could you please also try to set Compatibility with Windows 7 on the both client.exe and client_,exe files (here \SteamApps\common\Naval Action) to check if it works because there were recently cases when it helped to resolve the issue.

You will be able to play on custom low-med settings, just nake sure to turn anti aliasing off as it is the main FPS consumer

Hi,

On client_.exe, when i go into compatibility, it won't show option for Windows 7, as my guess is that i am alrdy running Windows 7.

For client.exe, same thing, no Win 7 option is there.

I again updated my graphic driver, repaired ms visual redist, tried to run game at low settings, etc, in addition to the things we discussed earlier.

in naval action (86), at least i see the water, but no ship. (in normal naval action, i dont even see the water)

in the attached pic, you will see that i am below the water line, sometimes i am above it, but there is never any ship.

I am confused and sad that i am not able to play this game, whereas in steam it alrdy says i have over 3 hrs playtime :(

It seems you are missing Service Pack 1, which can also be a cause to the issue

Will the game run okay with a DX12 rated GPU, I'm think it will but it never hurts to ask.

this game uses dx 11, a dx 12 rated gpu now are all gpus made in the dx 11 era(dx 12 games arent even properly out yet...), either way i dont think this game support dx12 yet, i dont even know if unity engine does.

Im just unsure about the comparability with DX12. Will the game run with DX12?

Operating System - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU - i7 3770K
RAM - 16.0GB
Motherboard - ASRock Z77 Extreme4
Graphics -  GTX 760 (Gigabyte)

Im having the same issue as TheMarathaEmpire, the glitched out graphics in open world where the water line and ocean bed are visible while everything else is frozen. Ive opened all the required ports and all recommendations on this thread. Just really stuck trying to get to the bottom of this.

edit: I managed to get into the game by disabling my GTX 760 and playing successfully with my onboard graphics for a few seconds without the graphical errors (got 0 fps so it was unplayable still) . Then exiting and switching back to my gtx 760, then the game worked as intended and got a few hours of gameplay in. Unfortunately i am unable to repeat it this morning. But it might indicate something to do with my graphics cad

Just to clarify, you have no water when launch "Play Naval Action" and the water line and ocean bed are visible while everything else is frozen when launch "Play Naval Action Beta (x86)?

I have the same error with both launch options, i can see the water and the ocean floor with both launch option. After hitting f11 to report the bug, i then get access to the menu options and the ship tab in the top left corner, again, no difference between beta and normal game launch.  it wont let me upload screenshots but i have the same issue as this image from steam

I was wondering if my computer will run this game, and for obvious reasons I was unwilling to spend money on it until I know it will run OK, specs are as follows from DXdiag. Its abit long but hope its ok. Many thanks.

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M

       Manufacturer: NVIDIA

          Chip type: GeForce GT 650M

I think it will be ok, the minimum is a GTX 460 1 GB so your 650 should be at least equivalent, looking at benchmarking charts, your card is marginally better then a 460 so it will be playable but dont expect great performance. I would recommend heading to canyourunit.com to ensure you meet the minimum requirements

CPU isnt great, but will do fine

Hello,

I have just purchased this game from STEAM and when i joined the game and clicked 'SAIL', i only see the sky and no water, wood creaking sound ,seems to be FROZEN that way.

I restarted the game, deleted the accounted again created new one, but issue seems to persist.

I have a similar error, but i can view the water as well.

After opening ports and disabling firewall didnt work.

A possible solution i discovered is setting all your ingame settings to minimum, including your resolution down to 640. then closing down any programs or apps you have running in the background, like everything apart from antivirus and steam, no matter how little power these programs consume. After a restart, the game usually works fine after ive done this, and spawned into open world. settings can go back to ultra and it should work fine for the remainder of the session.

I thinks its due to the poor optimization of the game resulting in a 'timeout' from the graphics card because of the long time for initialization. It seems to work for me anyhow so worth a shot

Your specs match the minimum System Requirements but be ready to play on low-med custom settings and around 15-20 fps. Make sure to turn anti aliasing off to boost fps.
