Ahoy. After a long sail I have come across this news bulletin dated some week or so back. War with Britain is desirable as all tyrannies must come to an end. The arrogance of the British crown will be humbled.

The American navies support each other and a declaration against TDA is a declaration against the fleet of Tattered Flags. When they chase you out of your hiding place, expect to find us where you run.

Out of curiosity, are we still at war?

There is some debate in TDA that we have won the war by default - as finding a SLRN per willing to fight has become something of a rarity.

Should we call the war over?

Its hard for us to fight you when all we see of your vessels are the stern.......

SLRN has shifted focus to us I believe. Since TDA has smacked them so many times I think they are going after who they perceive is the weaker link. They generally show up mid day with a large group. They have chosen the wrong group to mess with though. Our numbers are smaller than TDA but we have quality players.

Case in point: We were tagged 3v7 and had to run, yet we did so after demasting a Santi, sinking a Victory, forcing a Trinc to click out, and forcing the Connie to run away. They overpowered us in the end but they gamble poorly if they think they think our smaller numbers will make things go easy for them.

So they are fighting but they are not fighting you guys at TDA. How about we just play ping pong with them. We will crush them here and force them to run in your direction. You can crush them there and force them back to us. It could be fun.

Hmm. It is hard for us to know who the TDA really is at the moment.

( no guild tags at present. ) So, we hit everyone with your flag on it. No other reason, really.

Hehe !

First : I refuse to participate in a flamewar. I didnt sign up to play this game just to rage on forums. So if this turns out to be one of those rage-posts and full of agitprop, count me out.

On a serious note, SLRN has been fighting at Selam with the TDA for a while. Its quite right, the TDA did "find us ". But on the other hand, we arent moving from there either.  And I belive the outcome tends to be unclear. ( Wins/ losses ship-wise that is ) .

Unfortunately ( and yes, it really is unfortunate ) theres some time-zone differences at play here. We are mostly grown men, and so have work and other day-time activities. Whenever we are on (  afternoon / eveningCEST ) , its sort of late at night in the US, and ofc, the other way around. How we are going to counter this, i dont know. We have heard that some US players has been calling for us on global at their "peak hours", but ( speaking for myself here ) im not going to get up at 3 o`clock in the morning just to tickle some yanks  And so, this war seems to be mainly skirmishes.

On a sidenote ; We engaged the Dutch on august 12th, and it was mighty fun :) Now that was a real battle, with a good number of SOLS and frigates. So we do fight , allso larger engagements.

Most wars are mostly made up of skirmishes and usually have been throughout history. Battles can be very costly affairs and one disaster can ruin your military for years to come. Trafalgar is case in point, where the French and Spanish navies never recovered.
