To finish with the flag.

The flag of nationality is white.

In 1790 it is white with the left corner on the top one tricolor rectangle (red against the mast, white, blue) framed by a blue ribbon on the left and red on the right.
In 1794 the flag is tricolor, blue against the mast, white and red.
In 1815 he became white again.
In 1830 it returns tricolor with blue against the mast. He'll stay like that.

Sadly, I barely missed her when she stopped in Baltimore.   I drove by her docking next to the Constellation in the inner harbor one night, but didn't stop to get up close and personal with the Lady.

She's graceful and beautiful.

@A. P. Hill I saw her in Philadelphia and took an onboard tour. I also got some great photos of her firing a guns as she came up river.  One of her 12 lb guns is an actual piece cast in the 18th century. Fortunately I found out the proper French pronunciation ( it is not like the Harry Potter character!) while I was there.

Interesting you mention Baltimore as I see the inner harbor in the photo of the ensign above! Of course if you are frequently in Baltimore you can sail on the Pride  which is very much like the Prince (rigged as topsail schooner).

Surcouf: Was the gentleman second from left the captain for the voyage to the US?

He looks familiar to me because I have a picture of the captain from 2015 in his 18th century uniform.

@Surcouf you hid from us ;-) that the Association Hermione-Lafayette that built the replica of the frigate has been contributed to the development of an educational game for PC and tablets (mainly for kids) about the Hermione and her travel to America. I haven't tested it (in French and English) : http://www.hermionefrigate.com
