Im running an older computer Ive had for about 7 years. It has a AMD Phenom II X 4 965 quad core cpu on an older ASUS M4A79XTD EVO mobo. It has 8GB of GSkill Razor DDR3 memory and a new AMD Radeon R7 200 with 2GB of onboard memory. I run the game on ultra settings and get 30 dps according to the ingame frames monitor. I get 60 fps according to fraps! No stutters, drips, runs, or errors...

Bonden - I'm playing on a laptop with less than that (except the processor, mine is an i7 2.4) and I'm getting 22fps on Low, which is more than playable in my opinion.

It won't be amazing, but I think it'll get the job done.

I'm even playing on an ultrabook with intel graphics 4000 and as you said:

with 22fps in low on a 1366x768 resolution it makes a lot of fun!

I will get a better machine when Star Citizen launches, because they always demand best hardware, but if someone plays nothing more demanding than Naval Action he doesn't have to sell his car!

Edit: this shall be a compliment to the developers!!

My framerates have somehow improved...

I was getting ~75fps on a single GTX780.  After the last two patches (and one nVidia Driver update) I decided to crank it up to Custom with all the bells and whistles going.

Now I'm getting 100fps+ - drops down to about 80fps with significant action and rough seas...

Did I accidentally break Unity?

AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.8Ghz

AMD HD 7970

4GB DDR3 1600MHz

-----------------------

Game runs around 45-60 fps; Water on "high", anisotropic filtering on "8x" (changing that setting from 16x gave me a good fps boast, surprisely).

The rest on Ultra, res 1920x1080@60Hz

- OS : win 7 pro 64

Runs well maxed out until you set some AA ... it really kills the FPS and becomes unplayable for me with only 30ish fps when using AA x4 , so low fps makes me sea motion sick quickly, AA x2 gets more fps ( around 50 or so ) but things remains jaggy and not very fluid like when i have 60FPS or more, but was expected in the current development phase of the game, without AA it's always above 60FPS but I don't have big ships for now and did not made some battles with a lot of players so it might change with those.

Whelp, it took about 2 weeks longer to get the thing up and running then I expected!

The performance is far greater than I had ever hoped.

Not only am I running the game on Ultra, but I'm also running it in 2715x1527 downsampled resolution! FPS is a smooth 60, with vsynch. I've not experienced any dips greater than 5FPS whatsoever!

It sure does feel nice finally being a part of the PC master race.  :D

Er...! would someone be so kind as to fill me on, what is NA's official computer specs, mim and max.

So, I can figure out my old thing.

I have a bad feeling, my dear PC.

Maybe about to tell me, via an answer. I have sunk my ship, even before I can step aboard, to even take command.

(Which will mean, for this one, some hmm...! arrh saving up is in order. Oh well that's life.)

And Er..! while I think of it how much will it, be right now, to buy. either in AU or US dollars.

Many thanks, for your time. And no rush to get back to me.

See Ya!
