Which compartments get BE and DE armour?

Hey guys,

A couple of simple questions: which compartments are the BE and DE armour applied to; and does the game calculate effective armour thickness and ricochet chance on a per - compartment basis, or is there a more granular system?

When you go into the ship designer, over on the right hand side, you will see a box called "sections." If you expand that box so you can see it and the preview of your ship, the area of the ship that is darker in color compared to the other ones (it should be pretty obvious which areas are darker and which ones are lighter) is the main belt/main deck. The areas that are lighter in color (usually the front and rear of the ship) are the belt extended/deck extended.

As for your penetration question, I'm not really sure if it goes on a per-compartment basis.
