Minelaying

Hello I am a relatively new player and I don’t quite understand how minelaying is done. I equiped a cl with mines, sent it to a port to put mine down yet I couln’t find the option to make it lay mines. If someone could explain how they work it I would be very thankful.

I'd like to know that too.

I tried to send my minelayers out both in peace and war time, but never got the option to actually lay mines.

Ships with a mine module install them when they are in your port during the war.

Wait what? You can only lay mines while the ship is IN PORT? How does that make any sense?

Now I am at war and I still don't get any minelaying options for my ships, regardless of whether it's in port or out at sea.

Okay, now I know how they work... fully automatically. No need or ability to turn it on or off. When you are at war they will lay mines where they are. When you are at peace you can't lay mines.
