Grim DeGrim Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) During this period of reading about historical events (yes, I can read), I've read of many occasions where a smaller outnumbered fleet has been saved by a fog rolling in, or storms. SUGGESTION: could open world have fogs thick enough to allow players to pass undetected? SUGGESTION: could battle instances have the same, where a fog thick rolls in, enough to allow escape un detected? I know nothing about, and make no claims as to how difficult, to implement. Just seems this was often a "real" contributing factor in may ship escapes. Plus, a "smuggling in/out" feature could also be overlaid with ports (or close proximity to...) In fact, for most of videogame history large gamespaces have been impossible without liberal quantities of concealing fog. We've seen so much beautiful work by Game Labs, and innovation, that I leave the technical challenges to them. The question I guess, is this an element that folks would like/enjoy/support if it is feasible?
