Patch after patch devs keep increasing the maintanance... No!! Stop! Why are you doing this?!

Devs, please stop increasing the maintenence costs in every patch! One cant run a sufficient fleet like this and is rather forced by you to stick with a useless small number of ships. Maintenance was already pretty high in the 1.08.7 version. Please change that back.

It's their failed attempt to force the AI to keep fewer ships, but until the AI ends up with proper ships that actually have a modicum of maintenance cost this will not affect the AI, only the players who keep their fleets modern and up-to-date with the latest tech.

It's huge. I don't even have that big a fleet at war, and I'm at -$132 million per month.

The crew and research are 10%, TR 101% all ship in the sea control. I start this on 1.08.07 so maybe this is the issue. When set research on 100% I get -230 mln. 
BB 250mln BC 350 mln CA 100mln CL 60 mln DD 90 mln and one 60 mln. 

In my opinion the cost of DD etc. are too high, but the performence sometimes are too great. 

 

Not sure if this is bad move.

My naval budget is over a billion. 8 of my battleships are mothballed. I have 8 active. Building 8 battlecruisers.
