Matches end bevore TR can be sunk

When my fleet engages an enemy fleet that escorts a bunch of TR i have difficulties to shoot the TR. Due to not seeing more than 8km (what is really unrealistic) and getting no info where the TR are i always run into the escorts. After destroying them the battle always ends immediatly and i have no chance to engage the TR. Only recently i am able to circumvent this because i engage the enemy fleet with my two 35 CA that are almost double the speed of the enemies. I just go for a drive by and rush behind them hoping my CA don't destroy the enemies to fast. This is the only way i was able to engage the TR and it's only possible because the AI is to stupid to research and build better ships.

I know your pain, I'm only play 1890 campaign and not being able to destroy transport ships "The most intuitional way" A.K.A killing everything that dares to oppose you is really annoying. So far I have discovered two solutions to this massive inconvenience:

1. Kill almost every combat vessel except one which you severely cripple, after that you go to the general direction from where enemy fleet dared to approach you. It is my preferred method due to it's simplicity

2. Use cheat engine. So yeah, it's hideous, don't recommend unless you go full cheater mode alt-tabing every turn and in best case scenario reaching radar technology after 40 months of speedrunning rangefinders, and on top of that this tech is not good as other options

a few TB's or destroyers running past the enemy warships can usually find the TR before bigger ships taking any serious damage. Does not take long to sink the TR even with TB's

This has been complained about many times before. Given the Devs unresponsiveness to things like building directly from the 'refit' design or allowing to instigate a refit directly from the Fleet screen, both of which should only take a very lazy hour to implement, I'm not hopeful anything will be done about this.

I'm not even trying to hunt transports. Sure, it's very satisfactory seeing the big numbers pop up after you start shooting them, but not only they bring ridiculously low VP comparing to warships, but bypassing enemy is really bad idea which usually end with heavy damage to your ships that will otherwise be avoided.
