Game crashing causing computer power loss

I'm having a serious issue where the game will crash randomly. When it crashes, it causes my PC to completely shut down. It seems to be happening anytime I start loading into a battle or building a ship. 

Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix? I haven't found a topic on this yet.

I'm having this issue too, the screen just turns black and i hear the fans spinning up to max. I have to hard reboot the computer at that point. It happens especially right after opening the ship designer, but sometimes at any other point while designing. It's super frustrating, not only because you lose your design, but also because you have to sit and wait for the launcher to realize you're not longer playing after rebooting before you can play again. 

 

This has really turned me off playing the game, since sometimes you have stuff open on the computer (browser tabs etc) that you don't want to lose from a forced reboot. Really wish they'd fix this.
